Good afternoon! Sending many healing vines to Ozzie and congrats to Binkster and Celi on their OTJ Trial!!! Day one almost bye bye!!

Gracie decided to bounce a little more yesterday and started clearing last night. Today is the sixth cycle so she needs to get on it here so mama/daddy do not have to scratch their collective noggins and figure out how in the world they will do any kind of dose at all between sk1.25u and 1.25u. My sk1.25u is just a teeny tiny 1/2 drop more than the 1.25u. Hoping she just needed some days to clear the bounce from the 33. She and Tobes have been on the catio all day as it is cool and a bit breezy...perfect cat napping weather. I got tons of Gracie snuggles last night but Tobey got jealous and was standing over us hollering his adorable head off so that finally Gracie seemed to say "sheesh...you loud mouth...you want to snuggle with the bean that much, I'll LEAVE!!". Off she went and down he plopped. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I was hoping to be on here much earlier today but DM is still not well AND DS had a traffic accident in the rent car last night when she went out to get some groceries while DM was napping. So I spent a good deal of the morning on the phone with them. Then I had to go out to my office to get some papers regarding my retirement so I'll have them to meet with the financial advisor next week. Just got back and grabbed lunch. Off to visit condos!!!

That is so funny about Tobes yelling till Gracie got disgusted and moved!!

that happens here daily...works on the girls, but Binks won't budge...

he just gives them the "She loves me more" look :lol:

hope everything got straightened out with the rental agency...

Well that's a nice way to clear the bounce. How nice of Gracie to share the bean or did she just go to get earplugs? :lol: :lol:

I hope DS is fine after the accident. I know you can be really sore even w/ nothing major happening.

Thanks, ya'll. DM was at home and not involved in the accident (thankfully) and DS is fine....no injury. Just nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile about dealing with the car rental company.

DARN...that RATTLESNAKE is STILL outside our front gate!!! Two and one half days in a ROW!!!! Time for him to move along. I keep hoping it's getting cold enough that he'll decide to climb in his little hole somewhere and hibernate for the winter but he's been under this shrubbery near the gate. At least the shrub is trimmed so there is no veg on the ground and you can see him but still...MOVE ALONG!!!

Hey Tess!!! I can't decide whether I should go up a little after PMPS or come down and scare my mama. After all, she let Tobey snuggle with her last night. :evil:

wow you've had a little too much excitement! the rattlesnake alone would be enough, but add in the rest - yikes!

gracie's looking fine today!

ps, if i told my son you had a rattlesnake hanging out in the front yard, he'd probably want to drive to arizona to move it for you. :shock:

Thinking of you and DM and DS. Car accidents are never fun. Glad to hear she is alright.

Hi Marje, What a full day you had. I'm glad your mom and sister are OK. It sure is a pain to have to deal with car-rental companies. I also hope you were able to get your retirement stuff straightened out. And then there's the rattlesnake! What an exciting life you lead!!!
Hope you will have a fine, relaxing evening. Please tell Tobey that his Auntie Ella really appreciates his offer to come and make me a feel-better cimamamum cake and some chicken soup. I would love to see him. I feel better already!

Wow Gracie, you are slip sliding along in the green lagoon! Since your beans are on rattlesnake patrol, they can have something else to focus on - you! :mrgreen:

No rattlesnakes here in the high country of the wild wild west. We had a javelina walking down our street one day, and a neighbor got a picture of the piggie at our neightbors' front door, almost looked like Mr J was ringing the doorbell! Mostly we see skunks, a sharp shinned hawk and an occasional kit fox in our backyard.

Wash up those party PJs - it may be one of those nights! :lol:

Hi Marje, looks like a pj party for you tonight.! So funny with Tobes wanting Momma Bean all to himself and Gracie walking off in a huff, sort of! So sorry your Mom is still not feeling well. That is a concern when so far away, as I have a similar problem with the distance. Glad DS is okay although it must have been a scare and with a rental car. The pic of the kitty in the recliner is so darn cute, love it. Nice cycle for Gracie.

We're having a PJ party up here, so bring your fleece jammies - raining now, but 39 degrees and should change to snow around midnight. Bring your wooly paddy paw slippers too Miss Gracie! We have plenty of test strips and HC fuds. Leave your rattlesnake friend at home. :lol:

Yes, I know what you mean about having to pull out the really good stuff! Paws crossed Gracie starts to surf. We had the 17% and treats out for a bit for Zener, just now switched to 14% to see if we can surf. Always on the "morning after" the good fuds, we can't get him to eat the LC. Does Gracie give you the "eye" on the morning after the good stuff?

I'm headed to sleep/test mode and hope she surfs in the 70s/80s so I can rest a couple hours at a time. shhhhh.....don't tell her.

I had a rattlesnake hanging out on my patio a few years ago. It wouldn't leave so i had to call the fire dept. They came and relocated the snake and were just wonderful about it all. I don't know if they still do that but if you are concerned, you might call them if you are not in the city limits. I was in Northwest Tucson at the time. Not sure the city dept. will do that. I know it isn't something we want to call them about but safety for all, including the snake, is important.

Hope Gracie doesn't drop any lower. She is quite the diver.

Glad your DS is okay and hope you mom is feeling better.

Weather is wonderful tonight. i am up catching up on my recorded programs and Ms. M is hanging out with me, happy to have me home.
 
I have to agree regarding the snake. I'd be calling someone to wrangle it. Around here I know our folks at one of the local nature center's is a trained wrangler and the nature center would know where to release it later.

Our animal control person doesn't deal with wild animals at all, but they have several referrals available that you can call. Our city will pick-up half the tab on wild animal removal. I realize every area is different.

But yes, I would be calling for "help."
