Good Morning, Everyone,

We are continuing to send lots of healing vines to Jill's Mike, to all kitties and beans in need of some, and we are keeping MJ in our thoughts and in our hearts.

We had a wild night of weather--rain, high winds, very warm. It looks like a front is approaching and we may have snow on Friday. It's better to have it be seasonable. The warm, murky weather was not right!

Rusty had a lot of congestion and sneezing last night, more than usual (he seems to have a type of chronic congestion), so I think we will pay a visit to the vet today. He may have caught a feline version of "THE COLD" from Edward and me! In any event, he seems good this morning, eager for breakfast, wants to go outside, etc. etc. He only sneezed once this morning. Still, if he is having a respiratory flare-up, I want to get him checked out. (Just called the vet, who will see him this morning at 10:30. Will report later).

Wishing you all a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130

Good morning! Nice start for Rusty. Good luck at the vetty visit. I hope it is just a cold and they can fix Rusty right up. Have a wonderful day Ella!

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130

Morning!! Nice start for Rusty today. Mannie and I send good vetty visit vines. Best to get it checked out, and I hope all is well.

Wow on your weather! I do love a good storm, but also hear you on the seasonality of weather... here's some good snow vines for you. :-D

Enjoy your day today, and hope all is well with Rusty.

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130

the weather is certainley odd isn't it? My kitties have had the sniffles too so it must be the weather. It's supposed to snow tonight so hopefully your weather will come into season soon and our bodies and our kitties can adjust.

Hope you and the gang have a great day.

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130

Hi Ella, glad you got an appt. for Rusty and hope it's nothing serious. I've heard kitties can get the kitty version cold from their owners. I'll be interested in hearing about Rusty's vetty visit. Thanks for your comments in my condo yesterday re my experment with the b flakes. She's doing great w/out them! Snow on Friday sounds nice and it is better to have weather that's seasonable. Sending good Vetty vines to Rusty.

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130 back from vet: all OK

Hi again,
We are back from the vettybean and all is OK. His temperature is normal, he is eating and behaving normally, she listened to his heart, lungs, etc. and didn't think he sounded any different from his last visit. She agrees that his sneezing/congestion is a chronic thing with him and that as long as the discharge doesn't change color or texture, and as long as his general behavior is normal, it is OK. She doesn't want to start a course of antibiotics if there is no reason to do so. I should continue giving L-lysine. She trimmed his nails (Edward's request!). He weighed the same on her scales as the last time (16 3/4 lbs.) (On my digital scales last week he weighed 16 lbs., 7 oz.)

He didn't get carsick!!!

I'm glad we got him looked at. I like this vet and so does Rusty. He was very good, even when his temperature was being taken.

He's had his +5.5 (1/2 hour after returning home) and bg is 98. Not bad! He enjoyed lunch and is now chillaxin' on his perch over the radiator.
Thanks for checking in on him!

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130 back from vet: all OK, +5.5 98

Gabby's got the sneezes, too. I think she picked up something at the vet's office when she had her dental. (The vet attributes it to the stress of having a dental. Probably stress and some bug that was there.)

Nice numbers, though.

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130 back from vet: all OK, +5.5 98

Glad all is ok with Rusty by and large and his numbers continue to be great. Also glad you liked the vetty!!!! You're doing so awesome with him!

Hope you all have a great day. Tobey wants to bring Rusty KTSS but I think it is also a ploy to get some of Auntie Ellabean's Christmas cimmamum cookies!

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130, +5.5 98, +9.5 165

I think the 165 is a delayed vetty bounce.

KTSS is always welcome. But Tobey will be disappointed to hear that the cookies won't be baked for several weeks (we don't rush into things!). I'll bet we have some cimmamum donuts in the freezer, however!

Sorry that Gabby has sneezies, too.

Re: 11/30 Rusty AMPS 130, +5.5 98, +9.5 165, PMPS 195

I guess it's one of those "accelerating" bounces. And Rusty was disappointed that there was no FF T&G mixed into his dinner!! He'll have to wait until bedtime for that special treat.
