Good morning all,
Lou had a pretty fantastic day yesterday, hanging out in the blues and greens all day. I feel like an awful momma this morning though. I divide his 1/2 FF can into 2-1/4 portions and feed at least 20 minutes apart to help combat his AM post-meal vomiting. I was nearly to work this morning when I remembered I forgot to give him his second 1/4 portion. Ugh. Caleb is home, although he sleeps until +6 most days. Apparently Lou has taken to waking him up around +4 for food (I always feed them at +3 when I'm home), so hopefully he'll do that today. I feel so crappy about it though. I can't believe I forgot!

In other news, I finally called the vet yesterday near the end of the day and it's pretty clear they forgot all about my email request, even though I had sent a follow-up Wednesday morning. So they okayed the switch to Levemir, but instead of letting me pick up a prescription, they told me the pharmacy had to contact them and they'd approve it. UGH! That's obviously the process for refills, not new prescriptions. I called Marks last night and they agreed it wasn't the proper process, but they were willing to send a renewal request to my vet for the new order. I called the vet this morning to let them know the request was coming (and to subtly tell them their process is wrong). They said they already sent off the order, and I told them I'd be coming after work to pick up the new prescription. So hooray for switching Lou to Levemir, but goodness, this has been FAR more work and more stress than it ever should have been. I almost wish I wouldn't have bothered. Hopefully Lou will continue to improve and make this stressful nightmare worth it.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and your kitties surf safely! Sending vines to all those kitties in need, but sending some extra to Mr. Jones. (@Tracey&Jones) :bighug::bighug::bighug:

That's a nice start for Lou today. Hope he surfs safely for you and that you see even more greens once he's on the Levemir.

Sorry about the way the vet is handling things, but at least you are getting the Lev. I hope Lou surfs safely today.

Well now I feel even worse. Lou woke Caleb up twice this morning for food. Caleb tested at +6 and he was at 34! So we've finally reached our first reduction post-dental! :D I got a call from Marks and Lou's Levemir has been ordered and will be shipped soon. I hope I'll have it by next week, so I'll need dosing advice in a couple of weeks. I'll have to decide when to start it.... :p

I am glad Lou knew to waken Caleb. Good boy.

Yeah for finally getting the Lev script. Switch when you can monitor more closely for a couple cycles, in case he reacts strongly to the change. Some IAA kitties do just that.
