Normally, J.D. walks freely (all on his own without my guiding him on the leash) from the back bedroom where we stay at my parents house, down the hallway, through the living room, through the kitchen, and to the back door, only in the middle of the night, as he seems timid of walking past my parents or hanging out where my parents are.
Yesterday, once we were all packed and ready to go, J.D. left the bedroom of his own accord, and walked down the hallway, through the living room, and kitchen, and to the back door (to the garage), all by himself, twice. Like he knew he was leaving and was ready to goooo home.

We hit stopped traffic on the way home from the airport last night, so didn't arrive home until almost midnight.
It sure was nice to come home to snow on the ground :-D

This morning, J.D. seemed a little off and so I decided to take him to the vet while I can today, as I have today off (a little weaker and not eating as much even though I gave him some cypro this morning), and my vet so seldom has any open appointments on Saturdays. He did lose a 1/4 pound. I got him some Azodyl. Which I heard is a good for Renal support, and some prescriptions for the Ondansetron and B12. I guess I'll go get those later this afternoon.
I told the vet I wanted to start a B Complex and he said it stings and I don't want J.D. to develop an adversion to injections. He said I should give him like 10 units of B12 mixed? with 5 units of B complex to lighten the sting.
The vet said J.D.'s BUN which was 50 on October 15th could be from the high protein food he eats, and his creatinine was 2.2 so is on the high end of normal, but maybe he doesn't have kidney failure..that was the jist of what I heard.

J.D. ate some of his regular FF, shared some of a FF Appetizer with Ginger, shared a FF Medleys with Ginger, and ate some of Ginger's Temptations treats (for some reason Ginger won't eat any of her treats today which is really odd :? ), and then after the vet he ate some more of his plain old FF.

Maybe he was just extra tired from the trip, we just got back from (I know I am) and the being high all day yesterday (he was 596 at the San Francisco Airport, and went down to 445 when we finally arrived home) and not having any insulin except for a TOR last night.

Re: 11/30 J.D. AMPS 571 at +32.5, +6.5 131 back from vet

LOL, on JD running through the house....he knew he was going home!!
You certainly had a busy one there....getting home from your vacation and then to the vet. Poor JD...he needs to gain some weight!
Was Ginger glad to see you?

Eating vines for J.D.
Definitely glad to be going home but the trip must have been stressful. Hope everything can improve and get back to a normalcy.
Was Ginger happy?

I think Ginger was happy to see us. She got to go outside today, and she got to go to the pet store with me today.

J.D. had a good snooze on my bed this afternoon. He still seems a little wobbily. He just had a partially liquid stinky poo. He only takes a bite of food, and then walks away. Ginger walked away from the first flavor served as well.
She ate a little of the second flavor, and J.D. has had a bite or two. Now, he's laying in his bed. I hope he feels better soon.

Hey J.D. sweetie.. feel better please. eat up your food...
sending prayers for appy and solid poos. I hope J.D just has leftover travel fatigue.
take good care

I just went through a brief bout of poo issues with Gabby. FortiFlora worked like a charm. It took about 4 - 5 days for things to get back to normal. I suspect that J.D. is reacting to the stress of travel and likewise, a probiotic will help.

Sending feel better and good appy vines to J.D. Hopefully it is just the stress from the trip and he will feel better soon.

Hi Dyana,
I don't think it surprising that J.D. would be tired out from his trip. That's a lot of traveling, and through 3 time zones, too! Give him a few days to settle down and rest up from his vacation. Rusty is still in recovery mode, too, from our 4 days in the city and the trip there and back. I hope that both our households will soon see a return to normalcy. I'll bet Ginger is happy to see you.

Have a good weekend and get in lots of relaxation,

Hugs from us,

Ella & Rusty

I'm going to vote on stress related too. A good probiotic will help, I agree. Walmart has their own brand of probiotic that works well and it's about $10 less in price I believe. I use it on Spot, Ralphie, Ali, and GeeCee when needed.

Hope my little buddy feels better soon.....and give them both some love from me!

Yeah...I'd agree, too...travel us tough on us humans, so I imagine it's confusing to our furkids, too. Please feel better ASAP, J.D. - you're back home again and we missed you!!

Hugs and eating vines for Mr. J.D. Stress takes a toll on the tummy, hopefully now that he is back at home, he will start to feel better soon.
Hugs,
Kathie

Glad your trip home was safe....hope J.D. is happy to be home....
