Yesterday's Condo - Flight back from California
Last Night:
HI +26
535 +27
512 +29
I gave J.D. 2 drops of R at +26 last night as soon as we returned home. After Ginger checked out J.D., she eventually warmed up to me and has been in my face and loving me ever since. She keeps jumping up on the computer desk and meowing and head butting me and acting like she wants food, running to the refrigerator whenever I go into the kitchen, but she won't eat anything. I put my empty carry-on suitcase on the chair that she lays on and I told her that she could get in it and she has been in it for about an hour and a half now and is currently sleeping in it.
J.D. has eaten well today, and I gave him somewhere between 1 and 1/2 drops and 2 drops of R this morning with the HI at +31.25 and I also started a new pen, as for some reason my insulin (Levemir and R) and my Azodyl didn't seem cold at all when I arrived at my parents home and when I arrived home last night, even though it was in an insulated canvas lunch box cooler (silver inside) with a big frozen plastic ice thing.
Ginger has gone on two walks with me this morning. J.D. had a bath about 2 and 1/2 hours ago as his fur was really messed up when we got off the plane last night. I'm not sure if it was cat pee (for some reason, I don't think it was because there was a lot of it, covering half his body and it was stickier than cat pee...I know how dried cat pee looks and feels on the fur), or someone's accidental or intentional spilled drink on the plane. I do know that I heard someone seated behind me tell the steward that there was a cat, and then he spelled C A T out to the steward. The steward asked me to keep J.D. contained to the general area of the feet room of our two seats as the person behind us needed to have his feet room. So, I'm guessing that it was J.D.'s head that those people behind me saw sticking out from under the seat where that person's feet go. I was heading to the bathroom when the lady sitting in the row ahead of us said something about how well J.D. was traveling and I asked her how she knew I had a cat and said that she saw his tail next to where her feet go. I tried to keep him on a tight leash, but everytime my attention wavered or I closed my eyes for a second, off he would go trying to wander too far. I don't think he could see my eyes, so I guess somehow he felt the slackness in the leash. Anyway, I filled the sink with nice warm water and we are still waiting for him to dry. He's almost there.
I slept in too late this morning, which does not help me to get over this jet lag, but I was up until 1:30am last night and then woke up to test at 3:30am, and gave him his AMPS at 4:45am at +31.25.
I hope Ginger eats soon. She won't even eat Temptations, well eventually she ate a couple but refused a bunch before that, but she does seem okay and is enjoying her walks. I just can't leave the sliding glass door open so she can come and go as it is freezing cold outside and J.D. is damp.
Time for a +9 test.
