Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy First Day of Fall!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Lola and Bug are very busy resting.... they say they is mega tired... I dunno why, but they are. How can they be tired? They slept all day when the power thingie here happened... They say Sunday is sleep in day... well ok then! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... SWEET!, and perfect for a fall day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts standard with every delivery!

I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was catch up day, and I did get alot done, laundry, shopping. I even cleaned up Lola's plant and dirt mess from yesterday... all the fun stuff.... until the power went out and then all activity stopped. My computer mouse died about 9AM or so. great, not. After that the power here went out, about 10 or so. even greater. not. And then by backup notebook/laptop would not connect to the internet. even greater yet. not. It is such a royal pain to have to do some of that stuff on the phone.     So I went and got a new mouse instead. When I came back from the shore the power had just come back on. woot woot! . Not too terribly exciting, but things were accomplished. That and some serious recovery time from the week. The time with the boys was a blast and we sure had fun though, lots of really cool things to do, lots of river visits. Caturday was my recovery day. I was able to get out for a shore and woods walk in the afternoon too. That was really nice. With the weather not many people there. LOL: only me! Sure was nice: More Meadowdale...

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   It was such a quiet day here yesterday for the kitties... I wrote yesterday about the plant mess, the really big plant mess... yesterday I fixed all as it should be, cleaned the area really well, once the power came back on. Of course I had a supervisor. LOLA! and amazingly she left them alone. I gave her the lecture. I'm not convinced however that she really was listening, or thought I was talking about her. It is amazingly eerie how quite it is in a house when you have no electricity. Even the kitties noticed. They finally settled down and spent most of the day sleeping. I'm really not too surprised, as the weather was awful, it was very windy, what better things is there to do but nap. Smart kitties! Lola and Bug also latched onto the shopping bags after I cam back from the store. Sure didn't take them long to rip them apart.   Elsa ventured out once, in all that rain and wind. silly girl! it didn't take her but a minute to realize the error in her ways, and back in she came. I don't think she moved after that: down and out in her comforter, nappin' the day away. YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. I had hoped to hike, but the weather report is not all that favorable, even snow in the forecast for the mountains, close to a foot or so. Well... we shall see what the next few hours look like, then decide. I may wait until monday when there are sun rumors... An out and about for sure, but I think it will be local... It might be a good day just to stay put. We shall see! Besides... all that I didn't so yesterday due to there being no power still sits here..... waiting.....

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Happy Sunday back to ya Michelle!
Once again...Loved this pics and thanks again for all the pic help. I finally got the Catio pics posted :-D
Sorry about all the issues lastnight...frustating :-x Remember when we didn't have all this technology ;-) ooops, showing my age again
Sounds like the kitties are hunkering down for all that cold snowy weather. And did we really think Lola would stay out of the plant :?: :?:
Hope you enjoy your day whatever you decide to do

Good morning Michelle. Bummer on the power being out yesterday. As a kid, that usually meant putting together a jigsaw puzzle, and firing up the old wood kitchen stove. Grew up on a ranch in South Dakota :-D

Elsa, thanks for the espresso this morning. Last night was pretty good. Got a normal nights sleep, about 5 hours. I fell asleep watching SNL and woke up in the twilight zone when the time zone was switching, 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM, I don't know which :? Tess, of course, looked like she was diving again, so set the alarm for 2 hours and did another test. A normal night for a sugar kitteh bean.

Have a great Sunday.
John

Hi Michelle,

Hope your power stays ON today :-D So frustrating to be without~ We once had no power for 5 days from a hurricane. Every street that surrounds ours had power, just not us. That was probably the only time I really looked forward to going to tbp!  Very hard living without AC in Florida.

I love the pics of the sky/clouds! Looks wild!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Jane

Those pictures are great, as usual. How nice you had the place to yourself. I'm glad your power wasn't out all day. It is amazing how quiet it is when the power is out.

I'm glad Lola left the plants alone, at least for now. Elsa was smart to come back inside and stay in a warm bed.

I see blue sky in yesterday's photos, hope you found some today. It is glorious here - time to get outdoors with nature! Sorry about the power outage yesterday. I saw the pictures of the Bellevue bridge closing due to wind/waves - pretty wicked.  Figured it would be pretty nasty near you too. We got snow on the tops of our local mountains too - makes for very pretty pictures.

It's so cute that Bug and Lola await their toys (shopping bags) and ripped the apart pronto. Bags do seem to be a favorite with the furkids.

Thanks for the ~O) ~O) Elsa - eggnog beverages are back. :-D Love that part about this time of year. Although orange, chocolate and vanilla sounds pretty good too.

Hi everyone! I hope your Sunday has been a good one. Our weather has improved dramatically since the storm of yesterday morning. We had, for the most part, sunny skies today, cool at 46, a nice fall day. I was sitting here on the PC this morning, watching the dark start to leave us, the emergence of first light and thought that it looked darn incredible out there. SO I made the decision to go on an early hike through the woods to the shore, and see if I could catch that sunrise. I would have liked to have made first light, but missed that by 15 minutes. What a GORGEOUS morning at the shore. The clouds and the rising sun made for the most beautiful sky. I spent a good couple of hours down there watching the sky change. The tide was in so I didn't have much shore to walk with, but every time I turned back to walk the otehr direction the sky had changed once again. It sure made for a great time. Lund's Gulch Creek meets the sound her at the shore, and is known for it's salmon runs. We need the storms of November to bring them into the creek. I really didnlt think that the storm that we had yesterday would have been enough, as it usually takes a couple of them to get the run going. To my surprise, as I was leaving, I heard them in the tunnel portion of the creek. oh joy of joys! The salmon were running. So I stayed even longer to watch some of the run. WOOT! Salmon in the tiny tiny creek. It is quite the experience to watch these fish navigate, and return very year to this creek. YaHOO! And what a morning.... Here's a sneak preview of the Morning Sunrise. The afternoon was spent raking leaves in teh yard... there were so many.... I will post the Picassa link for the shore and fish pics in tomorrows condo.

Hi Pam - Happy Sunday back at ya! THX on the pics, and you are welcome - and OH COOL on your catio pics. I will have to visit and see them. LOL ion the technology stuff, well if you are, so am I   Yes on the kitties. it was sunny here , but cold, so hunkered they did. And I know on Lola... silly me! I don't know what I was thinking.... THX on today - it was great.

Hi John! AWESOME on your childhood days with puzzles and wood-stoves... i really like that. No SD farm for me, but we did the same too. Puzzles were always the way to go. My hat goes off to you and your nighttime regimen when Tess is doing her sugar dance thing. Love the twilight zone comment! I really don't miss those late and long nights with Mannie. Sure miss him, but not the 1/2AM testing.... THX on today. It was really nice.
Uncle john! You is so funnies! You were in the twilight zone. Mega cool!! Well, I bet you will need me in the morning, so I will be there bight and early... Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

hi Jane - LOL, and yes, the power stayed ON today. YAY, a thousand times over. And for sure on the frustration... ;-) omg on your hurricane story - how frustrating to be the only street with out power. I can only imagine no AC in FL. THX too n the pics - that it was: very wild. Crazy whether here yesterday.

Hi Carla - THX on pics, I'm glad you liked them. :-D Me too on the power! 6.5 hours was long enough. how we suffered! Oh yes on Lola... I am sure she will be back. Elsa is funny sometimes: has to go out and then you can see her thinking "this is not fun...." back in she came.

Hi Wendy - YUPP! Eggnog is back! i love the holiday beverages they have there. Hard to believe that it is getting to be that time of year. :o And yes, we did get blue sky in the late afternoon. The morning and early afternoon was awful: very strong winds and ALOT of rain. Then all of a sudden it just stopped, and out came the sun and the blue sky. And YES on today - what an exceptional fall day. I've been out in it all day, from fun on a hike, to work in the yard. :-D Very cool on your snow! I see out mtns have received some too. Winter is coming.... And yes on the paper bags. I so do not need to buy cat toys. Just get bags!
Auntie Wendy! You are so welcomes! OOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I need to add eggnog to my lineup don't you think? That woudl be very good! Hmmmm... maybe have it everyday as an Elsa Special. I LIKE this! THX! ~~Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

I know...it is so eerie when the power is out. I can't stand it.

A Lola...you love your plants, don't you? MamaBean keeps on trying though, doesn't she  ?

I'm glad you were able to get a hike in today. Have a great evening, Michelle!!

Hi Michelle,

Oh those cloud pics! And the fungi!!! And the beautiful forest. You sure put your day of power outage to good use! The first-light pics from today are so beautiful--it must be wonderful to be standing on a beach all alone and contemplating that vastness. So neat that you could get out today.

Glad that your computer equipment is working again. Isn't it awful how much we have come to depend on computers? I took my iPhone on our little hike today to try out the "Peak Scanner" APP I told you about. It works great! We were in an area where the mountains are quite small, and it identified every small mountain and even hills that I pointed it at. (and it identified mountains that you can't see but that are behind the mountains you can see)!!

Have a lovely evening. Scritches to the kitties. Hugs to you,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Amy - it is eerie, isn't it! quietly eerie. It's like one doesn't know what to do with oneself either. LOL on Lola and the plants - yes she does! THX on the hike - me too. It really was a a nice one.

Hi Ella - THX so much on the pics. It was a great day there yesterday, and a good one today. The area just never disappoints. THX - I did! I just couldn't see sitting around in the house with no electricity, and when the rains stopped, off I went. THX on this morning - that is exactly how it was. I really enjoyed it. Wonderful! THX on the app link too - I hope I mentioned it in your condo, but now I don't remember if I did... I could so use something like that when I am out, as often I do not know what some of the mountains are, their names etc. It sure would be handy! and yes on all our electronics! I cold not agree more on our computer dependency.... ;-) THX for the scritches - I will pass them on.

Hi Josie, and thanks! SO glad we were not too badly affected by the power outages. Some folks here are still without. Crazy... I too am looking forward to another sunny day. Yahoo! Yupp: a nice mellow relaxing evening. Yahoo there too. :-D
