After the exitement of yesterday am on the 1.25u. I reduced pm and today's am to a fat 1u.

I didn't test until now as her amps was high and she doesn't usually get a food spike at +1 or +2.
I was all set to go out shopping but now its poking day again.
She just ate 1 tsp LC - I'll test again at +3.5

Unfortunately I won't be able to test until +2 at the earliest as I have to take one of my other cats to the vet.
He seems to be breathing fast but I'm not sure if its happening all of the time - weird. I had an appointment earlier and I canceled as he seemed ok but then it seem to start again.

Hi Denise....I think it was a quiet day in LL. I'm glad she came down.
For next time, you could leave out MC to keep her surfing safely.
How is your other kitty doing? I hope ok. Please let us know.

just back from the vet - my beautiful, funny, playful, kisses & cuddles cat - Monster - has an enlarged heart. The vet thinks its Cardiomyopathy.
He had x-rays and blood work and they will do an echo next week.
I only noticed something wrong today - just rapid moving of his chest - I thought it was his breathing but she said his heart rate was really high. He's eating great - eats everything and everyone's food - and wants to play as usual. He's the one who always gets into trouble - locked in a room, knocks something over, gets smacked by Honey... - I thought I'd have another 8+ years with him. He's only 9.
Just poured a very large brandy and got an equally large box of tissues. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

He could live a normal length life. A friend of mine has a kitty with HCM and she's still plugging along at 16. She has to have meds and some days she breathes a little harder than others. There is a yahoo HCM group. I believe it's called feline heart...I'd have to check again. There are some very knowledgable people there.
