11/3 Heading towards remission?

My boy got his Dx in mid March, received insulin for about 2 weeks. I adopted him 7/22 & have had him on insulin of varying units of Lantus BID ever since. We have had our highs & lows & he has bounced all over the place. Lately his BG has been great! He recently went 41 hrs without insulin until 22 hours ago when he received 0.5 units. As of this writing he is still too low for insulin so I am wondering if he is headed toward remission. My last diabetic had a hypo episode which sent him into remission so I haven't dealt with these awesome BGs I'm seeing with Kingston. I am very hopeful insulin will be a thing of the past for my dude. He is quite a character as he has trained me with our routine. When it's test time he jumps on the same tote every time, waits to be tested reluctantly then looks for his food. Kingston has made this process so easy for both of us. Looking at his SS does anyone agree we are heading OTJ?

While looking good, he’s not in remission yet. Your ss says TR but your dosing isn’t following that.

I can't advise, but just wanted to say that I also have a VERY chill dude. It's great, isn't it! I'm not sure how I'd have done this with a fidgety, anxious cat!

You can look at Charlie's data for an idea of what TR on Lantus looks like *for him*. He's due for a reduction in the morning. He started on Lantus 7 weeks ago at 1.75 (previously on Vetsulin), progressed up to 2.25, before heading back down to 1.5 (tomorrow).
