Checkers isn't feeling well this morning. I gave everybody hairball med, and Checks kept trying to bring up what I thought was a hairball, and finally he threw up a folded in half, twist tie. I wonder what else in his tummy.
String of all kinds can't be left around, but twist ties? Oy! I gave more hairball stuff.
He doesn't want to eat again. I'm going to give him something to be in his tummy, even if it's higher carbs.
Kids!!

ETA: He ate some FF chicken. I'm very glad he isn't feeling sick. I was suspicious because he was laying on the desk next to me. I think he wanted me to know his numbers were dropping.

Hi Barb
Just wanted to stop by and say hi, it has been a long time! A twist tie? LOL! Hope Checkers feels better soon! Have a happy Caturday!

Poor Checkers! i hope that was all he had managed to get. Does he seem to feel better after getting it out? Maybe a vet visit. Twist ties hve wire and that could be very dangerous in the intestines!

Yes Ann. I'm very relieved to have him want food.

It never occurred to me that he would eat a twist tie. It was folded in half and I'm hoping it wasn't poking him.
Probably caught it up on his tongue, while 'cleaning' the counter for me.
I'm not thrilled with green right now. I wanted to go out to the library. I need some yummier HC cat food too.

Hi Michelle. Thank you for visiting us. I'm sorry to see you and Scrabble back here, and hoping his stay won't be long.
Checks was at the Falls for three whole months.....a dental infection sent him scurrying back. Now he likes it here. :-D

Oh good that he is eating now! That lack of early fuds coud partially account for the big drop.

Hi Barb, I'm glad Checkers is eating something and sending tummy vines. My GA kitty used to love to play with those twisties, too, and I often wondered what if he swallows one! He did swallow part of a string, and it took a Vet trip and lots of hairball med. Wow on that 77, and amazing how they give us signals when running low. I Hope Checks comes up so you can still hit the Library.

Nice +4 Checkers. He must have known you wanted to leave and that's why he went to green to get you to stay
Twist ties? Checkers! Those don't taste good

Re: 11/3 Checkers amps 254 +2/204+4/77

Oh wow on the twist tie. Some of my kitties play with twist ties. I never thought of one of them swallowing one. I hope Checkers is okay after that. I hope Checkers comes back up for you so you can go out.

Some of those are half hours. It takes too much space in the subject line to type the half hour.

I think all this crappy weather is doing a job on my boys old spine. I kept staring at him moving slowly, and wondering if he really was hurting. I gave bupe anyway, rather than hold off and wonder.
Bupe makes him eat....so he got freshly roasted chicken after these ear pokes.

I pray that Roni and Moonie are both okay with their arthritis. She had been talking about giving the Adequan to Moonie.
I wonder if she was even able to grab the meds, or the insulin before they evacuated.
Poor Roni won't be going to PT. She must be feeling it.
God, I hate this!

Re: 11/3 Checkers pmps 281

I'm really glad he threw up that twisttie. There's another item I'll add to my "not in my house" list. I hadn't thought about those
and the metal could scratch internally or make a really difficult exit ....
My big thing is no little rubber bands like they put on newspapers, those are like swallowing gum.... and a real choking hazard.
I think it was Sienne who dealt with an ugly dental floss incident.
It's almost like baby proofing....

All those nice greenies.... hope Checkers decides to slide back down again. At least to the blue.....

I worry for Roni too. Stress isn't going to help her at all and there isn't anything but stress dealing with FEMA. ( :-x bureaucracy)
It will be really good when she is able to communicate again...

Re: 11/3 Checkers pmps 281

Hi Barb

Well that has got to be a first: a twist tie! i don't believe it.... I am glad he hacked it up. Sheshhhh Checks!

Sometimes I think it is good to be proactive when we suspect they may be/are hurting. I think you made the right call on the bupe. If it makes him want to eat, then ever better. Quite the set of greens there today.

I hope your day has been a good one... and that Checks let you get out for a bit.

So agreed on Roni...
