Honestly, I was expecting more from 7.5units. Today is day 4 on that dose. :blackeye: However, despite his high number this morning, fat boy was galloping and galumphing through the house after the kittens before breakfast this morning, so maybe the exercise will get his number down some. I just don't understand these BG numbers; with 379 I would have expected him to not feel well and instead he's tearing ass through the house :banghead: Oh well, ours is not to question why.......

Tough going, Christine :bighug:
Jack did have a blue yesterday - he may be bouncing from that dip.
Likely Jack is so used to the high BGs that his system has well adjusted to it. I honestly can't tell anything amiss when Mikan's PS is up in the pink sky.
Hang in there. Jack will come down when he clears the bounce!

I do not mean to minimize your frustration, I just can't decide what's more amusing, Jack's antics or your description of them :joyful:. You have a way with words

Hi my cat feels better with numbers apartir of 300 than below 100 ... he changes from being an active cat to when his numbers are better he is laying on the couch not moving.. i imagine that is why they say they look better on high numbers until his body finds normal lower numbers ... yes it is a puzzling but feline diabetes is like that ....:bighug::kiss:

Jack, you need to give Mom a break!

I echo @Mikanmama 's input. I think he needs to get to a breakthrough dose.

What's he been eating, Christine?

Sending love and kisses for all the kitties!!
He's been eating the same for months- Friskies or 9Lives pate, 5-10% carbs with 1/8 cup of Elsey's kibble and Ziwi Peak (50/50 mix) for breakfast and most nights some pate with some Friskies prime filets, because unless I give him a spoon or two of filets he won't touch the pate. If he's being stubborn, it's all filets. The diet is not what it should be but it hasn't changed so I would think the higher insulin dose would compensate. But, I also know Jack is very sensitive to food, so maybe that's not true
