Pretty nice day for Cini yesterday:

AMPS - 106
1 Drop Lantus ( 6th Cycle)
+2 - 115
+4 - 58
+6 - 56
+8 - 90
+11 - 92
PMPS - 98
1 Drop Lantus ( 7th Cycle)
+2 -99

Steered with HC food where needed.

Didn't do BG readings overnight because I am not feeling too well (started last night), and because of that Cini is now off schedule.

Instead of finishing his food at 5am this morning, he was still eating at 6:30am. And then I got distracted and didn't realize it was time for his 8am AMPS till 8:30am. :? :oops:

So I went ahead and did his AMPS at 8:30am and gave him his 1 drop of insulin. Not sure how the 6:30am eating affected that.

Any input or suggestions on how I should manage the rest of the day would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, feel better soon! Being off by 30 minutes isn't a big deal, you can move his shot back by 15 minutes per shot to easily get back on schedule by tomorow morning.

Feeding at 6:30 is 2 hours before his AMPS, so that's ok as well....I guess my question is, will it affect his appetite to eat early in the cycle? As long as he will eat when necessary to steer his numbers, I think you're fine.

Yesterday looks great to me! Nice curve management. :-D

To answer your question, Cini eats well in the AM so there's no problem there. In fact for his +2 his BG was 49 so I put down some 13% carb food and he ate a teaspoon of it.

I'll check his BG again at 11:30am just to make sure he's going in the right direction.

Well, 49 at +4...guess he's gonna get his ear poked every hour till he comes back up again.
