Yesterday's Condo

Well, darn! Cinco started off so well today and then appears to have made a u-turn sometime between +4 and +6! I guess it's too soon after the 18/18 to expect a lagoon visit, but a bean can dream!

I had the dishwasher all loaded up last night and was waiting for one last plate, Cinco's. I sat down on the sofa next to him and the next thing I knew it was 3:00 am! @-) I stumbled up to bed, and this morning came down to a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and no clean cat plates! I managed to scrounge enough to feed the critters, and got the dishwasher going so we will be back in bidness tonight! Sheesh!

Minka required a plate chase and a lot of persistence, but in the end she ate her breakfast. :-D

Last night/this morning, after I climbed into bed, Sasha got down and I heard her eating - I had left a bowl of boiled chicken for her. She got back in the bed, between us, and I had just drifted off when I hear that unmistakable sound ! I grabbed her and rolled over to put her on the floor but was too late and ended up with bits of chicken all over me! :o I had to get up and change my nightgown. Luckily (?) it all ended up on me and not on the bedding! She was due for her Mirtz today, and I thought I would see how she did without it. Not well. I gave it to her, then I came up with the idea of breaking up those Hypo treats she likes and embedding them in her food. It worked. She ate almost the whole serving. :-D

Harvey also did not want his breakfast (Honestly, if Cinco hadn't inhaled his, I would have thought there was something wrong with that can!). I tried a couple of different flavors and no sale. So I broke down and gave him some Mirtz (he did eat the pill pocket, but required a lot of coaxing). An hour later he was meowing! He still didn't want this morning's entree, so I put a spoonful from each of the four cans I had open ( yes, four! ) on a plate and offered it to him. He went right for the worst choice, of course - the Fancy Feast! :YMSIGH: At least he ate. He hasn't been sneezing as much this morning, so I haven't given him a Zyrtec since last night. Paws crossed whatever it was is on the way out!

It's a gray, rainy day here - love it! I have a bunch of chores to do and I'm gonna try to get some accomplished. We're planning dinner and cards with our friends in Sac tonight, so hopefully Cinco will continue to be safe and boring for one more evening. He can dive all he wants to tomorrow!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM. Extra healing vines to Georgia's Simon.

It's not so bad, it's within the 20% meter variance! Here's to a continued slide, uh, wait, your'e going out tonight! Surf, Cinco, Surf!!!!!  Good eating vines to the other three!

Oooooooo, i hope the rain gets down here! They've pushed the forecast back to Tuesday!

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

I'm so sorry you're having all the appy issues...I wish I was close enough to help....still sending tons of prayers your way.

I've done that dishwasher thing, too  ...it's pretty annoying, first thing in the morning, to not have any cat fuds dishes.

Trix eats Fancy Feast...not great for her at all (at least in theory), but like Harvey, that and PUrina One (also high in phos) is all she'll eat - and eating does trump everything else. Try not to fret about it too much...as long as he eats.

I hope you're able to have some well-deserved fun tonight!!

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

It sounds like you had quite the evening! I know that lovely sound too well. Why do they always want to throw up on the bed?

I hope Cinco sufs safely for you tonight and you have a good time with your friends.

Tricia

You had quite a few days of it. I am not surprised that you feel asleep on the sofa last night. I do it all the time, it's like falling off a cliff. One moment i am there and the next I am not.

Tonight I managed to catch remi's sick in a paint chart I had picked up today.

Sorry about the vomit, but at least you didn't have to change the bed. I'm glad you finally got the kitties to eat. I hope tomorrow they eat better. I'm glad Cinco is still doing well.

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

Hi Tricia,
Your kitties sure like to throw those challenges at you! I hope that Cinco will surf nicely tonight and that the whole crew will eat, won't vomit, and will be happy kitty kats.

Enjoy the evening,

Ella & Rusty

Many vines for all of the civies. Hugs to you, Tricia. What kind of cards do you play?

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

Hope you're out having fun tonight Tricia!

If anyone deserves a night out, it's you!!

Sounds like you had a long night last night....I guess if there had to be puke, it's better to keep it on the nightgown than all over the bed, but it sure makes a mess!

Good to hear that you're at least being able to convince most everyone that food is a good thing, but will continue sending vines for your whole furry crew to feel better and eat better!

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

Sending appy and no nausea vines your way. I hope you were able to get out and have a good time. You are facing way too many hurdles for one family all at once.

Re: 11/29 Cinco AMPS 250 +4 127 +6 152

Oh Tricia! I don't know how you do it. You are amazing! Nothing fun about the dreaded "yuck yuck yuck splat" in the middle of the night in your bed. I've even caught it in my hands to keep it from getting on the sheets

I hope the crew ate today and you and DH got out for some cards and fun.

Huge hugs and lots of prayers.

Thanks for the visits, Ann, Amy, Georgia, Sarah, Carla, Ella, Liz, Chris, Elise and Marje.

Sorry I didn't get to visit your condos this afternoon. Mark and I took advantage of a break in the weather to do some yard work. We pulled out some tomato plants that were kaput and moved some pepper plants into the greenhouse. I trimmed a lot of dead branches off the tomato plants that are still trying to produce (keep 'em coming, guys!), too. Then we had to rush to get cleaned up and t/f/s and feed the others before heading out. Everyone ate, although a couple required some persuasion. I was able to go with a clean conscience.

Oh, I forgot to mention that before I ran up to shower, I gave Minka her fluids. About half way through she shifted positions. I checked the needle and all seemed to be well, but as we neared the end I noticed a trickle of water on the sofa, going down between the cushions! :o  Her fur is so thick that I couldn't tell she had pulled the needle part way out! So she only got half her fluids. I only have 100 ml left, so I saved it for tomorrow. I'll have to get more on Monday, one way or another. Thank goodness Harvey doesn't need them (anti-jinx)!

When we got home at +7, Cinco gave me a lovely blue number. He had eaten all but a couple of bites of the food that Otto had held for him and was happy to clean up the plate I gave him with his test, then went back to sleep. Harvey ate all his meds in pill pockets, then ate about half of the food I put down for him. Minka required a plate chase, but she ate all hers, too, as did Sasha. In fact, Sasha and Minka were competing for the extra I brought up after they both went to bed, so all the left over cat food that I had not already tossed got eaten (and had I known they would be that willing to eat, I wouldn't have tossed it and it might have been eaten, too). Sasha almost took my fingers off when I offered her some of her treats! I've been pinching myself to make sure I'm not still sitting in the car on the way home, dreaming! Hooray for happy appies!! :-D :-D :-D I just hope neither of the girls barfs due to eating so much so fast. I tried to pace them, but they were both on a mission at the end.

We had a good pasta dinner and fun playing cards. Liz, we play poker, sort of - mostly No Peak, where you deal all the cards and you turn over your cards until you have the highest hand, then bet, and it goes to the next person. Whoever stays in and ends up with the best hand wins. We also play Guts, with three-card hands. We play for quarters, and the most anyone typically will gain or lose is around $20. Tonight I came home $7.25 richer and Mark was down about $10.

It was drizzling when we left our friends' house, but it poured most of the way home, then back to a drizzle at the house (rather nice to go to and from the car in). More rain tomorrow. Ann, I'm trying to send some down your way. I hope you get it!
