Hi everyone

Well last night me and remi slept on the sofa and he didn't have an attack but was still wheezy. His breathing has improved slightly but not sure whether that is the because he didn't have an attack yesterday or because the antibiotics have helped slightly. If his wheezing isn't better by tonight I am going to give him the 5 mg steroid and hope it doesn't affect his level too much as I feel that at the moment the inflammation is more of an immediate worry.

I just want to thank everyone who commented yesterday-Tricia, Sienne, Libby, Tiff, Julie, Wendy, Marje and Tricia. You really helped to reassure me that all was not lost if remi had to go back on the steroid. Before his diagnosis remi had been on steroids for at least two years and only fell into difficulty when we upped his dose to 5 mg EOD. I left him at the higher dose for a little too long (because he was doing really well) and so I am perhaps overly sensitive about him having them again. So your comments were really positive :-D

Thanks also to everyone who posts on these boards

Here is yesterday's thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=129087

Remi's breathing has improved a lot over today and so now I am unsure whether i should give the steroid tablet. I would like to make sure that the inflammation has gone and one moment I think it has and the next he shifts his position and I hear the wheeze again.

So I have two options give it tonight on the basis that one or two tablets won't be the end of the world and it would be good to think the inflammation has gone. Or wait until tomorrow morning and see if the antibiotic and the accolate kick in a little more. When I move him he does make a little noise that makes me think he still has some inflammation.

Hi Sarah
I hope his breathing keeps improving. You take such good care of him.
He is lucky to have you as his mama. Have a good day both of you !!
