He had a hearty portion of his low carb food when he was 93@4.5. Just gave him a tsp of medium carb because he dropped to 75! Anything else I should do? He’s acting fine. Also, any thoughts to how we can stop these large BG swings? I can’t imagine they feel good for him.

He’s down to 52@+8.5. I just gave another tsp of medium carb. Where do we go from here?
I realize he’s earned a dose increase but how will I know if we’re safe to shoot 4.0 at PM shot? It’s 3 hours from now.

He’s acting fine? That’s safe on a human meter. It’s a decrease earned with SLGS BUT SAFE. You need to see his pmps number. He might bounce. Post pmps and see.

On his spreadsheet, you can "stack" numbers so in the +6, you'd put 71 @ +6, 75 @ +6.5 so they're both in the +6 cell....then the 52 would go in the +8 cell along with the 55 @ +8.75. The cell will expand to fit. You'll have to color code them yourself

Those also should really all be the dark green....even on SLGS, the lime green is for numbers under 50

Thanks all! I updated the spreadsheet but can’t get that exact green. He’s acting perfectly fine. Seems hungrier than normal. He just had some low carb food with this test.

He’s at 120 now. +11.5. I need thought for what to shoot for PM dose please. I haven’t been able to find the custom colors using my phone.

If he's above 150 at PMPS and you're willing and able to test as long as may be necessary tonight, you could shoot the new 4U dose.

Or you could continue to stall for another 30 minutes (don't feed!) and see if he's high enough at +12.5 (same deal on testing)

If you give a lower dose, even a token dose, it doesn't necessarily mean you won't need to keep a close eye on him tonight because the depot is still going to be affecting the PM cycle.

Your other choice is to skip, but I hate to have you skip and lose the momentum (but if you need to, it's totally reasonable to do it)

Any time you shoot a lower than usual PS, it's a good idea to start with a +1 and +2 so if you need to intervene, you can do it early.
