Hi Wendy. He looks really good - better than he's looked for a while. It makes me wonder if it's possible for him to have had the infection for maybe a couple weeks without any obvious symptoms, besides being a bit lethargic and perhaps a bit irritable?

For sure he could.. Cats and other animals are very good at hiding discomfort!

Hi Nancy, glad to hear that Pepper is feeling better. Ive heard that it's good to get urine tests done every 6 months for diabetic cats. They are more prone to UTI and cats are generally very good at hiding pain.

Thanks for the advice, Wendy. I'll talk to Pepper's vet about periodic urine tests - especially since this isn't the first one he's had.

PMPS 255. Wow. Now that he's on antibiotics for the UTI, maybe his numbers are actually going to come down.
