? 11/28 Nola OTJ Trial Day 13 | AMBG 69 +3 69 +4 72 +7.5 93 +10.25 LO/41

At +10.25 LO on Libre, tried pricking her: 2 strips, 3 pricks, another LO Libre reading and 1 wasted blood drop later I couldnt get a handheld meter read. Tried the Libre again and its showing 41.

@Bandit's Mom do you have any insight? Im about to get out of the house for hours for the first time in months this Saturday (Im going to watch Wicked!!). Nola is not usually hypo-leaning but Im unsure on what to do. I thought it just wouldn't go this low without insulin. :banghead:
 
Whew! Glad you managed to get a human meter test and it's safe. Typically a Lo on a Libre is, but good to check. Leave her a little LC and enjoy the show!

Yes!!!!!! Im SOO glad I was able to get a a reading with a regular meter! I confess I went into panic mode as soon as I saw the first LO :p

Her next meal is at PMBG (in 40 mins) should I give her some now?

Oh no, thats Saturday, Im just over-worrying days ahead by the mere possibility of an unsafe LO. :nailbiting:

No worries. I'm sure the idea of a little time for you is exiting. :)

As an aside, kitties not on insulin can test in the 40's on a human meter. We just don't want cats on insulin going that low, doesn't leave any margin of error.

That makes complete sense!!! Thanks for the reminder! Now that you said that, I think Bandit's mom told me this at some point in this journey :facepalm:
 
Libre sensor damaged (it lasted 10 days instead of 14)... I probably wont be able to update you guys on her Day 14 :(
Hopefully i can get some HM readings, we'll see
