Ok, now I'm confused again. I thought I kept the "+9" because it was the last test prior to AMPS.

I haven't done the "+2" yet after AMPS

It's fine to put the PM+9 in the header, the only thing I would suggest is to put it before the AMPS...putting it after makes it look like it's an AM+9 test. ;-)

AAhhh...thanks, Jennifer for clarifying. I'm still working on my first cup of coffee and didn't register that it's not 1pm your time yet.

Laurie is correct.....just put it before your AMPS....but it really isn't even necessary to have it.

The subject line is fine, Jennifer. I have to leave now, that's a nice +2 test. I would get another test by +4 if he were my cat.

So I was so excited to see where he was going to head at +4 that I tested at +3.5. BG 153. Should I test at +5? Sooner? Later?

Yes...test at +5....or now if you didn't test at +5.

Great.....how about a +8 and +11 or something along those lines? You can do +7.5 if you prefer.

I will do the +8.5 that's 7:20pm and a +11 is 10pm.

I think I'd feel more comfy at this number if you get a +8....not an 8.5 especially since Mikey sometimes tends to go lower around +8 or so.

BG 223 at 7:09 (a little less than +8.5) sorry just saw your post Marje. I did feed him 1/4 can at +5.5.

Also, I know it's recommended to give treats when testing. I have wellness pure delights turkey and salmon flavor. I think someone posted those were ok. He had 2 today. Not sure how many to give if I'm testing so many times.

I am not sure if all the pure delights are the same on carbs or not....I use Whole Life freeze dried chicken. When we first started testing, we gave Gracie a little piece after each test but we don't anymore. She doesn't really care....quite often, she doesn't even open her eyes. I don't know how large the pieces are but if you can break them up and just give a smaller piece...that would probably be good.

I didn't think of breaking them in half. He LOVES catnip so I use that sometimes I would think that has no effect on him?

I had some computer issues and had to restart but I got his +11 BG 286

Today looks like it could be a nice example of a 2nd lantus dip. See how his numbers came down, went up, and then came down again for PMPS but not as low as his nadir? :-D :-D :-D Very nice!!!!

So tonight I should get a +1 and anything after that during the "normal beans sleeping hours"? I took a nap today so I'm well rested :lol:

I think a +2 works....see how much further below the PMPS is and then decide what else you need to get up and check. I'll be up at your +2 and will check in on you.....that will be 1 am your time; 11 pm mine. K?

Jenn.....Is his +2 280 or 230? On his SS, you have 230. If he's at 280, you don't need a +4....maybe just a +6. But if he's 230....you'll need a +4.

ETA: Hey Jennifer...I have to hit the sack...early morning tomorrow. So hope you see my post above......if he's 230, be prepared that he might want to come back down.

Thanks for catching my typo. It's 230 so I will test again at +4

Marc is already sleeping and so are most of the cats. Hope you have a good night sleep. I'm sure I'll "see" you at some point tomorrow.
