Last night her PMPS was 311 so I shot with 2.5 units
This morning her AMPS was 502  I shot with 4 units!! :o Thats the most I've ever shot her with!!
I'll be home until noon so I can keep a eye on her until then and may be able to get a 6+ before I leave.
Have a wonderful day everyone and be safe!!

Re: 11/28 AMPS for CL was very high!!

I'm glad you'll be able to get a midcycle, Terri. If she isn't bouncing from a low (which is quite possible) then I think a trip to the vet would be good - check for infection, teeth etc.

Re: 11/28 AMPS for CL was very high!!

Wow, that is a lot of insulin and hopefully CL won't bounce too much. Steer with food maybe? I swear, it works so well for Simon. When he eats, he goes much lower (without insulin) or higher (with insulin) and it can make a scary time more predictable for us. He is absolutely governed by food in terms of his numbers. Hugs to you both and Happy Turkey day!

Re: 11/28 AMPS for CL was very high!!

I'm confused. I was unable to take a 6+. I took a 11+ and she is 189. I did not shoot any insulin. I dont really know what I should do from this point?
Anybody out there this evening with any advise for me?? I did feed her 1/2 can of FF after testing BG. I thought food was supposed to make BG go up not down??

So tonight, if it doesn't throw your schedule completely off, you can test her about 2 hours after the food and if she is over 200, shoot. Maybe one unit or 2, depending on the number. Your next shot would need to be at least 10 hours from that one - more if the number isn't rising at +10.

So we know 4 units is too much. We still don't know if she is dropping low and bouncing. I hope you can get some midcycle numbers tomorrow.
