Toby started out in the blues today. I gave 12 units instead of the 12.25 hoping he won't drop to low because
we are going to be away for dinner today. I will be able to test at +4 to see how he is going. Maybe I should test at +2 and if he is lower give a little HC to raise his bg. Will leave plenty of LC food so if he gets low he will be able to eat. I guess that's the plan for today. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Just gave Toby 2 tsps. of HC and 1/2 tsps karo to try and bring his bg up. Wouldn't you know he would have to
hit the green today. :lol: We are suppose to leave in a hour. Will test again in 30 min. to see how he is really

He may come down again when the karo, hc wears off. His nadir looks to be a little later in the cycle. Any chance you can hold off on the food/karo and test in an hour? Do you know how he's reacted before when the hc/karo wears off?

Will Toby eat if you leave some food out while you're gone?

The 60s are safe. If he surfs there or surfs higher, ok. But I'd hate to see him drop lower than that unattended.

Just came home to check on Toby at +7 and he's at 77. Looks like he has headed up now. When I left I put out
LC food mixed with HC. He ate it all. Haven't had our dinner yet so have to go back. Will wait awhile and see if he keeps going up. Will leave out more food when I leave. We can't go anywhere without worrying about our babies. Thanks Marilyn and Polly for checking in on us. Peg and Toby

wouldn't you know he'd do it today when you have plans!? I hope you get to enjoy your dinner.

I hated to give Toby the HC food today but, didn't want to leave him in the green in case he went to low. I gave him 12.25 units tonight. I hope the HC doesn't make his bg go to high. I think he has been doing pretty
good. At least a lot better than when we started. Hope everyone had a good day. Peg and Toby

Great day for Toby today. :mrgreen: I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Peg. Good idea on the HC. Best to keep him safe, I would have done the same. And the carbs will wear off quickly enough.
 
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

You did a great job handling him today, Peg, so you all could get out and have a holiday dinner. Looks like he's thinking of having some more good numbers tonight! :-D
