11/27 Luci AMPS 192 - Vet update and Pic

Yesterday was Day 2 of work insanity. Apparently the web servers were not updated correctly by the person who was supposed to do it on Saturday - and it caused total chaos because our apps were reading/writing to two database servers - this caused the faculty to get up to 20 emails each - and they get paged - for ONE patient for ONE event. They were not happy...and this is what I got up to yesterday morning. After another day of working with another team to get all of the data connections ironed out, I then had to compare the DB's to check for missing records between the two... oh what fun! It seems calmer this morning...but I still have to review more DB tables today - at least that's behind the scenes and the docs are not getting a ton of redundant emails and pages all day.

AND Luci needed to be chauffeured to the vet at 7:30 to wait for her x-ray and re-splint. DH to the rescue as my chain was short at work. Luci breezed thru it. The vet said on the x-ray that the union of the bones in her foot was not complete - so she's going to be wearing this bigger splint thing for another MONTH! She is not a very happy camper at all...she did however have some really lower numbers late yesterday so perhaps the splint is helping her by providing support and protection for her sore leg. I feel sorry for her carrying that big thing around now.

Hopefully today will be calmer - I need to prep some things for Thanksgiving day at SIL's tomorrow - nothing like being behind!

Hope all of you have a calm and happy day and that your kitties are doing well.

Here's a pic of Miss Luci and her big new splint. Let's hope she doesn't get this one off before it's time.

Glad Luci's numbers are lower. She must have enjoyed her vet visit
Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving..enjoy!
Hope Luci likes her new cast and it doesn't bother her :)

Oh bless her, she does look quite unimpressed with the new leg, hope she can get along OK this time. Happy Thanksgiving to you from across the pond x

Awww poor little Luci! Her numbers are sure looking great though. It might be more cumbersome when she walks but like you said, more support and protection. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Hope you get your DB's matched up and you can enjoy Thanksgiving with a clear mind.
Have a great productive day Sue!

Sue - it's a great picture of Luci. Now, at least she will finish healing; hopefully the new cast told her ripping it off isn't going to help. Has she chewed on it yet? I wish I could kiss the white spot on her snout:kiss:
Best of luck with all your work today;)

That is a biggie for sure. Maybe it will keep her a bit more quiet. Tell her if she takes it off a bigger one will get put on.

Now that’s a picture of a cat who is not impressed by her new outfit.

Good luck at work. Why do people schedule major changes the week before Thanksgiving? Sheesh!

Good Lord! what a behemoth of a cast!! poor Luci, too bad that she hadn't healed already, I hope she gets used to it quickly :)

sounds like a crazy time at work, I'm not jealous... hopefully things clear up soon, not fun to have to be the one to trouble shoot that stuff.
