Happy Sunday everyone,
Jetta's seeming a bit off. Vomitus overnight sometime and it's an effort for me to convince her to eat. Weird thing is, I picked up a refill of her compunded liquid Budesonide on Friday and it looks and smells different than her last 6 bottles. When I gave her dose Friday, I thought hmm, weird. Then last night when I gvae it to her I really studied it and it's WAY different. I think I'll call the pharmacy today and see what they say. I'm sure they'll tell me it's fine, but I feel like they should replace it if I have a doubt. Does anyone have experience with an "off" coumpounded medication?

I hope we get back to green today. I guess she's still clearing her bounce, and I guess I should be thankfil it's a yellow bounce and not one of a different color.

Hi Jaclyn,

I have no experience with compounded meds, but it surely is a matter of concern that it seems different and Jetta started felling poorly when she started on it. Good luck!

We've never use compounded medicines either but if you have a concern you should definitely ask about it. Hope Jetta's feeling better.

when i worked for Rite Aid...we would replace ANY compounded med if clients had a concern...
 
I've never had to deal with compounded meds at a pharmacy, but I hope you're able to get some help with replacing those meds. It sounds like too much of a coincidence. I hope that Jetta is feeling better and seeing green again soon.
