Well at least Miss Autumn is starting to clear her bounce.

And yes that's right no am ot for Sir Casey. He still isn't eating predictably enough for me to be comfortable shooting low to stay low. So unless he shoots to the moon I'm going to focus on the diet change first then add insulin if needed.

At least he is tasting the pate. I'm not going to let him starve but I'm also not going to play this game of I only want what I want with him. If I have to I'll syringe feed.

If he was an only or the only sugar here I might entertain the getting dry and doing a slow transition. But I'm not willing to risk Maxwell's remission or Autumn's progress just because a vet turned Casey in a kitty crack addict. Plus that 51 was after eating nothing but HC yesterday so if I can get his diet switched he may very well be broken.

Gosh I so remember having to buy the kitty crack and bring it across my threshold in August for Nuzzles. I still have it in the bedroom closet because I am afraid they might smell it or see it as I carry it downstairs to the trash. I was so relieved when she cleaned that wet bowl of canned food.

I am not afraid of using hunger as a tool - in a safe way. It worked for me.

I hope it works for Casey! I will be praying for his success.

Finally found a combination he'll eat, not ideal but at least its a starting point. Took Special Kitty pouches with gravy, chopped sardines and LC Friskies.

Since he's eating I went ahead and shot a half dose at +6 but he's got food in his belly so felt safer shooting.

Now to convince him that he doesn't need the other garbage to find it tasty. The funny part was he licked up the Friskies and sardines but left the soft kibble. WTH?!?

You should have heard him purr when I scratched his shoulders and told him he was a good boy for almost cleaning his plate.

I've found that Meow Meow does better if I leave her food in 1 big chunk so she can bite it. Lucian had problems getting it in his mouth until I cubed the pate' so he could grab the cubes. I found they have trouble getting it if it's all mushed up, better in chunks.

Hate to admit I let Patches have Iams dry, about 1/4 cup each day, just because she lost weight not eating and she wasn't over weight. She will lick a little of some pate' but was literally going hungry and I caved a couple months ago. She eats on the kitchen counter, the other 2 aren't capable of getting up there. No risk of Lucian getting it. I have yet to get her to eat any treat, turkey meat, liver treats, tuna, nothing. She has no desire for real food or the pate's. Don't know what I'll do with her.
