WCR: Blackie's doing ok. The neuropathy is hindering her movement a little more each day, and there's nothing I can do about it. My husband and I both think that she's now going blind in the right eye. The last vet determined that there was very little to no sight in the left one. When she walks, she is very slow, and methodical about it, as if she's thinking through each step before placing it. The pancreatitis comes and goes, and right now, she's back on the Tramadol. As of yesterday, I've reinstated the Zobaline since we can't afford the B12 injections, nor the vet visit. I'm assisting her with regards to her potty by putting her in the box. More often than not, she'll walk to it, but won't step in it. I'm guessing it may be too high. However, there's a much smaller, and lower one right next to it for that purpose. I have 2 other boxes that she can step into, but she doesn't. She has incontinence issues where she'll poop outside the box. Thankfully, the poop is solid, and not messy. As much as I don't like it, I'll clean it up. I can't give her sub-q fluids simply because she will pee outside the box now. I've caught her doing that one day, and she was about 5 feet from both boxes in the office.

She's still eating and drinking the water that I give her with her meals. She's seeking out my company a bit more lately, and I'm totally very much fine with that, obviously. I weigh her daily simply because I know one of the symptoms of pancreatitis is weight loss. I've increased her food more to hopefully stop, or slow it down. I'm also hoping that the Zobaline will help to slow it down. At this point, all I'm doing is making her as comfortable as possible. She'll tell me when it's time. I know it's not far into the future. Diabetes and pancreatitis are winning.

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to whoever needs them.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone, including Blackie, to have great #s... For everyone, including Blackie, to be OTJ.

Angela, I'm so sorry. You're doing the best you can for Blackie and making her as comfortable as you can. I hope the Tramadol helps her feel better. Make the most of whatever time you have with her. Sending hugs and prayers. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I hope you and your DH had a nice holiday, Angela, in spite of Blackie not being well. Sending many prayers that she will start feeling better.
