I just noticed this morning that we had the wrong date on yesterday's condo. Kinda sad!  Better start to the morning but he's zoomed up at +1. Oh well. The board was busy on Thu but quiet yesterday. Must have been lots of shopping going on! Hope everyone survived. Thinking of Jill and DH today. Have a great Caturday!

Re: 11/26 Zener AMPS 287

  on the date thing... it must have carried over to Mannie's condo this morning... :-D

Zener.... time to exit the pink floor. There is nothing fun there. All the parties are on the lower floors today.  I hope Zener comes down for you today.. bummer on the bean induced food influence pmps yesterday -- been there, know what you mean.

Have a great day today.

Re: 11/26 Zener AMPS 287

Zener, you looked awfully handsome in that yellow jacket this morning. Come on back down buddy! Jetta says the lower floors are way more fun than those higher ones!

Anne taking over AM duties, Liz off to yoga class with guest in tow, so kitties are enjoying some quiet time. ;-)

@Linda - he must have read your message and is starting back down. Paws crossed!

@Michelle - Zener had been spending far too much time on the pink floor lately, he is missing all his buddies! New dose in place as of last night, so shall see how this one works for him. @-)

We saw a little yellow last night and at AMPS, though we know it is not likely due to his dosecrease last night. Will see how his numbers play out over the next couple of days. We are watching for possible NDW since we increased last night. PU/PD seems better last night and this morning. :-D

@ Jaq - thanks for making me laugh thinking of Zener in a yellow jacket! He appears to be edging up since his AMPS, so perhaps a bit of NDW in play today?

Re: 11/26 Zener AMPS 287;+1 361;+2 345;~387 A Trak

This could very well be NDW! Now we'll see where he goes next day or so--Paws & fingers crossed for some nice
yellow & blue numbers--OK ZENER???---Hugs & Lubs from us!! Have a great Caturday!!

@Roni - thanks for stopping by with reassurances! :-D We will watch for the next couple of days and see what happens. He also is a little stressed by us having a guest and the door to one of our bedrooms being closed while we have company. He does not like that. We let him go in and sniff around a bit but he has a nasty habit of peeing in suitcases, so off limits for a couple of days.

He seems to be acting like he feels pretty good. He was outside on patrol and was walking around the entire yard, when he heard a kitty in our neighbor's yard. He is now in the corner of the yard all puffed up and being very vigilant! What a brave guy! cat_pet_icon

Zener Boy - that yellow looked awfully nice on you, why don't ya go back to it instead? Ya can't send that neighbor packin' if you're dressed in PINK!

Anne/Liz - hugs and hope Zener doesn't get to those suitcases. My deaf cat, GA for years, sprayed every one of them he could get to - which included my new soft sided briefcase that I'd just paid quite a bit for....grrrr...

Zener, what is going on, boy?! You are heading in the wrong direction.

Maybe the stress of company in the house has increased his bg. I know Simon's bg is always higher when we have company staying over.

Come on back down a little Zener and show us some handsome yellow and blue numbers please.

Calling Zener...time to exit those floors! Paws crossed this is just NDW. Good luck with the dosecrease. NO MORE PINK/YELLOW.

Hoping you all have a lovely day...nice way to start it with yoga!!!

Re: 11/26 Zener AMPS 287;+1 361;+2 345;~ 3 387;+6 402 A Trak

Thanks Georgia, Celi and Marje! We appreciate your support and making us laugh, it has been a very discouraging several days and we are a bit stumped.

We do have a very "boisterous" guest visiting, who talks and laughs very loudly and is also not a pet owner, so she is a little clueless about what we are doing and why. So, I am sure this could be affecting Zener's numbers, plus the new dose could be producing a bit of NDW. We also have been using our current bottle of insulin for 2 months, so are considering a new bottle in a couple of days, if numbers don't respond.

Just got his PMPS and evening shot, will post soon.

Zener is not yet listening to all his supporters, and even took a dip into grr_red at +11!

We have been giving Zener 2.5mg of pepcid a/c daily for a few weeks now and his appetite has improved significantly. Our question is could this be affecting his BG numbers? We see cellulose on the list of ingredients and know this is a carb. So, any information on pepcid and effect on BG levels would be appreciated and if so, is there an alternative?

Re: 11/26 Zener PMPS 402 pepcid? A Trak

(((((Anne and Liz))))) I totally understand how frustrated you are right now and looking for answers. Seemed like such a promising start to Zener's day today. Hopefully he clears this whatever-it-is soon and gets moving along to happier colors.

Re: 11/26 Zener PMPS 402 pepcid? A Trak

Even though cellulose is a poly saccharide, even ruminants like cows and goats need special gut bacterial to digest it. I'm pretty sure that cats hav no such bacterial. Basically it's purpose is for fibre and cheap filler in cat food!

Still pinkus but heading in the right direction.

+1 404, 0.75oz 8%
+2 374, eating 8%

@Jaq - you are so right, we are definitely looking for answers. And most likely, the only answer is patience pants! ;-)

@Celi - send Binks here to have a chat with Mr Z! They can talk cat dude stuff!

@Ann - thanks for that. We didn't think there was any sugar stuff in the pepcid, but weren't sure about all the ingredients. As Jaq wrote, we are just frustrated by the string of poor numbers and searching for answers. :YMSIGH:

We have paws crossed this is NDW and we will see a change soon. Our guest leaves Tues morning, so that may be when things start to shift lower!

Re: 11/26 Zener PMPS 402;+1 404;+2 374 pepcid? A Trak

Any disruption can be a cause for stress and stress can raise BG levels. Let's hope that Zener is less stressed soon.

Re: 11/26 Zener PMPS 402;+1 404;+2 374 pepcid? A Trak

Thank you Sienne! We have had guests before without too much disruption, but they were all cat people. Thie guest is a bit loud and not much of a pet person, and this may be the stressor. All will return to normal Tuesday.

Re: 11/26 Zener PMPS 402;+1 404;+2 374;~3 303 A Trak

Zener has donned his yellow jacket! :-D
PMPS 402, 3rd cycle @s1.25, 1.55oz 8%
+1 404, 0.75oz 8%
+2 374, 0.55oz 8%
+3.3 303, 0.55oz 11%

We like this direction, kind of a big drop between +2 and +3, so gave some 11%. Will test again around +4.
