Good Morning LL! Yesterday was a day of "Am I done w/ this bounce? or not?" Hopefully, Tess will at least keep it in the yellows today. Not much else to say about the day. I compared new washers online until my eyes were crossed, Today we go out to actually look at them. Last night tess wanted to make up for all the missed lap time from the last 2 days and wouldn't leave my lap. i agreed that we just needed to have a little down time.

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club and looking for more, and more lap time too.

We understand, trying to figure out if a bounce is over or not. Very frustrating when the numbers are too high. Those patience pants, good thing Marje has a big supply for everyone. We wear ours out regularly. :lol: :lol: Good luck finding a washing machine. Are you looking to top loaders or front loaders? Have a great Caturday!

OK Tess, how about it? Yellows being requested for the day, blues gladly accepted also.

Good luck washer shopping. No matter what you buy, there will surely be a new model next month that will make you say "that's the one I want!"

I'm betting that the bounce is beginning to clear.

When I was remodeling my kitchen, I found Gardenweb to be a very helpful website. I know, it sounds weird. They actually have a great list of home-oriented forums and people do talk very frankly about appliances. They have a forum devoted to the laundry room.

it's a conspiracy... Mannie and Tess have decided to have a get-together on the yellow floor. I hope they both decide that blues and greens would be better. I hope she clears the bounce soon. Hopefully today. Right Tess? and when you find the blue floor could you please bring Mannie with you?

Happy appliance/washer shopping. Not my fav thing either... good luck - it would be a good day to go -all those deals going on out there. :-D :cool:

Tess just wanted to give you and John ample time to go applicance shopping. I bet she'll clear that out tonight and give you a lovely cycle.

Glad you got some kitty bonding/lap time.

OK Tess enough with the bounce! Hope you come down tonite...
WE have needed a new dryer for ages, but my DH(the laundress) keeps saying our old, slow, ineffective dryer is fine @-) @-) @-) he hates change(like the cats!)...takes forever for our clothes to dry!!!
So go buy some new beautiful efficient appliances & enjoy them--thnk of me & my antique dryer!

Roni, I'm putting up w/ the old dryer, but the washer is starting to leak all over the floor. Even DH agrees it's time to get a new one after 25 years! :lol: the washer actually predates him!

Marje, that's why I avoided going out yesterday and now I've dawdled away most of this one, looking more stuff up. I'm glad though since I got to see that nice low yellow!

Michelle, YES! on the deals, which is why we need to do it this weekend. However, on the really good deals if you read the fine print they only have one or two items per store. I figure those were gone about 12:05 friday morning! :roll:

Got to go now or we will miss the +11 test again.

Hey Ann,
We have only ever bought one washer/dryer stacking combo. (because the previous dryer failed) and we had space considerations, so just went to Richard's and bought one that fit. Mostly we have lived with what was there when we moved in (the fridge in our house in Brooklyn dated from the early 1950s). So I'm no help. But I must say that the Swedish washer and dryer (stacking) in our apartment in NYC is really wonderful. But I can't remember the brand!!. The washer is a front loader and uses hardly any water but washes the clothes beautifully (it appears small but handles a large load very well). The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes a long time for it to go through it's cycle. I think this is typical of the really efficient European machines.

Hooray for BLUE KITTIES!!!

We got the washer, an LG that could be stackable if we had splurged on a new dryer, but that will have to wait. I really wanted the steam feature in the washer. A Great way to freshen jackets! We won't get it for a couple of weeks though, but we got the good deal! :-D

Ella, i'm with you in using things till they are worn out, I think this qualifies on the , 25 years.

I think it's amazing that a washer lasted that long, even though it was leaking towards the end! Congrats on the LG!

I still haven't learned that Tess does not like +3 tests, but since she had been dropping I wanted to be safe. Ni Ni all
