Good morning?

Ummmm.... Not sure where these numbers are coming from, but I don't like them on a Monday morning. Needless to say, I will be giving her a good bit of 12% today. Got purrs, action in the LB, a bit-o-preening, and a small bit of play...but mood is still not 100% Shasta. Ok, off to recheck BG. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

AMPS=198 (4% FF Chicken 1.2oz and a dash of miralax)
+1=138/151 (added 12% FFEMF Chicken)
+1.5=130
+1.75=137
+5=179
weight @ +11.5 = 10.19lb
PMPS=292 (4% FF Chopped Grill & 3% FF T&G & atenolol .5mL)
+1=250
+2.5=158 (3% FF T&G)
+3.5=158
+4.5=145
+5.5=157 (just not interested in eating  )

bought some new PureBite freeze dried treats (turkey)...let's see if she can keep these down. I needed something to get her enthusiastic about poke time, again.

Hi guys, nice numbers this morning, you know our kitties like to throw things off to start the week! Scrabble threw me off with his red floor this morning! Hope you have a nice surf today!

Hi Michelle, I could totally do without the "low" numbers as I'm headed off to work! I felt like such an idiot today asking my boss/principal if I could sneak home during my planning period to check on my diabetic cat! He's such a sweet man...of course he said yes and then proceeded to ask me about diabetes in cats because he, himself, is diabetic and he never knew cats could be diabetic. Anyways, she was ok when I checked on her, but she's starting to shy away from me when I go to pick her up to test her. After school, I'm going to stop by Petsupermarket to pick up some treats so that hopefully she'll stop trying to run.

Any suggestions for treats for sweet girl? Otherwise, I'll get some fresh Purebites and hope she doesn't throw them up. :YMSIGH:

Have a good day!

Freeze dried chicken? Someone called it kitty crack. The dog version is fine and cheaper. :-D

Kitty crack is right! Shasta loves the freeze dried chicken, but I had to stop feeding them to her because she was always throwing them up. I don't know if they had gone bad, maybe?! So, I ran by Petsupermarket and picked up some freeze dried turkey treats...hopefully fresher and less vomitous! So far...so good and now she's chillin' in my lap.

Now, if only I could decide which Dyson vacuum to buy?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Anyone want to weigh in on this one?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :-D :?:

Hey, Deborah -

Looks like Shasta is having a good day - YAY! Good job educating about FD!!

As far as vacuums - I have the Dyson Animal. I don't like the way it comes apart and that there is no handle once you remove the hose (not sure I'm explaining that well.) but I LOVE the way it vacuums! I vacuumed with my old one (when I first got this one), then went over it with the new one and was AMAZED at how much it picked up! :o

Have a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Hi Libby, I felt so silly telling my principal about Shasta's diabetes, but I've told so many other people at my school that I almost felt like I was keeping a secret from my boss!!! Thanks for the info on the Dyson Animal. I'm pretty sure I understand about the handle/hose thing...it's all one component. I'm leaning towards the Animal, but I keep reading the Amazon reviews and talk myself out of every one of them...especially due to the price! I don't mind spending the money, but I want to know that it's gonna REALLY, REALLY work!!! lol! Thanks again and hope you and the kitties and DH have a great night!

Did you give the freeze dried chicken with water on it? We rehydrate it for Zener. Sometimes we sprinkle the dust on Tillie's food.

Yeah, I sprinkle the dust...she used to enjoy, but again, I think the chicken that I have is bad. And even re-hydrating didn't help with the vomiting thing. I'm hoping that it's just because it had gone bad?! So far, she's kept the Turkey treats down.

Nice management of her curves ESP with having to leave this morning. That's a sweet story about your principal.n

I hope she's feeling and acting better. A little chicken helps :-D
