Morning ~O) All P's except one are in place. Maggie has been very chatty and playful this morning. She ate all her overnight fuds and had a hearty appetite this morning, too. I think the 166 at the +2 may be either a food spike, or not enough juice. I had a bit of a time getting the two drops dose correct with the syringe. I should have just tossed it and tried a new one, but we shall see how the rest of the day goes along. Have a nice Saturday everyone.

Hi Linda, I think Maggie read her condo. I guess I did measure okay, as best as possible, and the +2 was a food spike.

Very nice recovery Miss Chatty Maggie!!!! What a lucky girl she is to have you for a mamabean, Ann. You two are bestest friends ever.

BTW....I think I told you this so pls forgive if I'm reiterating but I got the replacement box of MJ syringes from the distributor and they sent me the same lot number as the bad ones!!! DUHHHH!!! So I spoke with a supervisor and she shipped me three new boxes from a different lot. I got them yesterday. Five out of the first 10 were off.......sigh. What quality control???? At least that is an improvement since the first lot number, there were only 2 out of 10 that were accurate.

:lol: :lol: Celi, I love the pic of the kitty - you keep us laughing with the pics for every occasion. I wonder if the chattiness is a trait of the Manx kitties? I know lots of kitties are chatty, but some more so than others.

Thanks so much Marje. She is my shadow, especially in the mornings following me everywhere, and we have really become close since diagnosed with diabetes. I do remember you telling me about the replacement shipment of Monojets. Today I toyed around on the ADW and looked at the Tuermos but I know you had a bad box, so I ordered one box of the Monojets and hope they will be okay. I needed AT strips, too.

Between the needles & the insulin, Yikes no wonder we are financially challenged!!
Then the dopey syringe makers screw up the needles we need so badly!
Hope they get it right with the new batch!

I use BD and they are also usually misprinted or something!!

Hi Roni, I hope so with the syringes. Thanks on Maggie. She's running low on her PMPS number and being a picky eater this afternoon. We had one vomit.

Very nice numbers, Maggie.
Bummer on the syringes, Ann. What is "off" when you examine a bad syringe? I use Monojects and have always found that the plunger lines up initially with the zero line on the barrel of the syringe. Maybe I'm just not seeing something correctly. Of course, Rusty gets more juice than 2 drops!!

Maggie is looking great tonight. I also used to have a little Manxie and she was quite the talker, too. It must be like the Napoleon complex...tailess means they need to make up for it in other ways. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by Simon's condo.

Yikes! I've been getting so used to Maggie just surfing along slowly that I didn't check until +3. She didn't give me any signals she was low until she got down from the top of the recliner looking for food. The two meters aren't that far apart with the lower numbers. I had the hardest time getting a drop blood, and she had some food after the 58 bg. I wonder if the AT meter was off just the first check, as I need a reasonable size drop blood!

Where in the world did you get that pic! :smile: So cute and Holy Calf is right! She seems fine. I'm giving her some FF Turkey & Giblets which should get her up to normal range.

The FF turkey & giblets got her up to 93. I wonder if I'm safe in not testing her any more and giving her poor ear a break. I got so many errors with the ATrak strips and used up about 6 or 7 strips just not getting the right size blood. I'll give her more FF Turkey & giblets and she's so carb sensitive she should be fine.
 
Hi Georgia, the 58 was a shocker for me, too. I think it was right, as 30 minutes later she was 67. I got her up to 93 just with the FF turkey & giblets. She is loving the FF T & G! I think I'll set the alarm for an hour and test. She's been having teaspoons of FF t & G and also some Gravy Lovers.
 
Look at Maggie go! Congrats on the dosecrease!!! Hopefully she'll surf it on out now.

I had a tail-less kitty while growing up...unfortunately, it was because he got it caught in the fan belt of the car :sad: . He survived that, though, and was quite the chatter box, too :lol: !
 
Hi Amy, thanks for stopping by; I didn't want to admit it at the time, but I was freaking with the 58! I'm not used to Maggie dropping into low numbers. Aww, poor kitty with the tail getting caught in the fan belt. It's amazing what they get into and survive.
I think, too, she will surf the night. I'm leaving more turkey FF & giblets. She's in heaven eating it!

Thanks Michelle, I wasn't expecting her to drop, as I even skinnied up the two drops for the pm shot. She vomited earlier in the day and was a little picky with the food. She sure is making up for it now with the FF T & G. :-D
