Morning LL :sad: ,

Attie seems to be going the other way this morning ...actually overnight too. He paws at me that he is hungry, but then doesn't eat again. I am defrosting some of the CatSure packets I made. :roll: He sounds very congested too. Actually sounds like he is snoring. Last night I thought he was clearing his head quite a bit as he had some really great big sneezes and his throat sounded clear.

How long does a steroid shot last?

We're on the L-lysine at 1000mg like Kerry suggested. Well he ate the treats with gusto this morning...

Good morning guys .. sorry to hear attie is still fighting off his sickness .. Glad to hear he ate well this morning and hope it's a sign of a good day to come .. no answer on the steroid question, that might depend on what type it was? Hope you guys both have a great day!
 
For methylprednisolone, if given as an IM injection, the effects can last for an average of 3 - 4 weeks. Take a look at this link -- the info on duration is in the IM injection section. It seems like the duration of effect depends on how the pred is administered. It no doubt will depend on the type as steroid, as well.
 
Morning! I hope that Attie feels better soon... such a long haul for him. Sometimes they/we humans sound worse before the break to better comes. Maybe it is the same for Attie. I am glad he ate his treats, hope the rest is soon to come.
