Tiggy was low at PMPS+10 but hopped back to 70 for pre shot time. He is bouncing up and down but the bounces don't seem to last long. And even though he is going over 200, I think he is frequently going too low on this dose to consider an increase.

He had a busy night last night with playing with toys and howling so he is sleeping it off now.

I've been an ardent admirer of the Tigmeister since I first saw the original bowl pics.
And physically he's nearly the same cat as Chip! Tiggs is the dilute version...

He's a bit darker than Tiggy. Tiggys siblings were more that colour. What's weight is he? Tig is now 17lbs but chip looks bigger?
 
Probably 18 pounds. When he was OTJ he was 16.5 which was ideal.

Chip had a nearly identical ordinary tabby colored brother but not dilute gray like Tiggs.


Chip (in the back) is very dark chocolate on top. Cotton tailed bunny underbelly. ;-)

If I had a decent pic of Chip lounging, he looks too much like Tiggy now.

Speaking of "another mother" here's Chip's mother with his 4th (almost all black) litter mate:



And here's Grammy with the two I ended up eventually taking home. Yep that's Chip's head in front looking on. This litter of 4 had an unusual story. It was mom's first litter. She had them in the driveway and didn't really know what to do. Grammy took over and moved the babies to the safety of an out building. Then mom moved them somewhere else. The humans heard the screaming kittens and attempted to intervene as well. So these 4 where moved around and handled a lot. Got smothered with attention starting well before their eyes even opened. Grammy had her litter of 3 girls about two weeks later and then nursed all 7 kittens. Mom on the other hand never did nurse her 3 little sisters. So needless to say the 4 boys were well fed. And constantly doted on by the mothers and the humans. Overly tame, precocious and spoiled.

I was only considering a single ginger boy but I couldn't not keep Chip also once I met him. :roll:

they sound like great kitties.. and grammy sounds like a doting mom!

Its interesting how a cat picks you. The local pet store had a cage with a litter of kittens from the local humane society and we were looking for one. They were all brown tabbies except this orange and white one, and a grey one. I reached for the orange and it backed off scared.

While i was looking at the others the grey one with big paws fell off the shelf and climbed back up to where the pet store clerk was and she was scritching it and it looked happy. I asked to have a look and I picked him up and brought these huge eyes close to me. He reached forward and licked my glasses. And that was how we brought home Tig man.

Tiggy was cat-smart enough to distinguish himself from the crowd. And still a ham to this day. :lol: :-D

It never seems to be the one you think you are looking for. Guess we really shouldn't be *looking* anyway.

I had an interest in Chip's particular litter since Grammy (Her name was Stripey Pants) was the sister of the father of my first beloved (indoor) tortie who was 13 at the time. So I was familiar with that breed and colony of barn cats. What were the odds that Ms. Stripey Pants was still around after 15 years outdoors? But Chip and his brother were very closely related to my cat. And lived up to all expectations.

Wish I would have taken one of Grammy's 3 little tortie girls. But they were totally anti-social and I couldn't get near them.
