Hey PooKitty! I LIKE that AMPS much better than those low greens you usually throw at me! He started the TURKEY chant within an hour of wake-up time....very NOISY chant too! He ate a whole saucer of it already. I may have to buy another turkey just for him...silly boy!

Six months ago now, I was fighting Dallas/Ft Worth construction and traffic on the way to pick up our sweet Dakota at the airport! THANK YOU RONDA DALTON/Fancy Cats for loving him until it was time for him to come 'Furever Home'. I just love feeling him jump up on the bed each night and come curl up next to me purring - we both sleep so good...even if he IS a blanket hog!

We lost power last night! 4 hours of no HEAT! BRRRRRR! It's icy, sleet is still coming down this morning - had snow for about 30 minutes last night but nothing stuck. Those bathroom trips were COLD! When power came back on, I had to get up and reset all the electric radiators. It's just now beginning to be warm everywhere again....4 hours off = 4 hours of desperately heating to regain it. There WAS one semi-warm place left - the back porch of all places! When we enclosed and insulated it, we sure did a WONDERFUL job....it holds heat well. MoochieKitty and Ginny/DarlaDroolers were all still warm.

You are a lucky boy, Mr. Dakota. Now go find KT in the grotto and take both of your fuzzy selves to the lagoon. Sorry about the ice storm and the power going out. I'm glad it's back on now. The porch was warm because of the space heaters out there, besides the great insulation. :lol: :lol:

Happy Anniversary, Dakota!! It seems like just yesterday that you arrived at your furever home. You are one lucky kitty!

Lyresa, I'm glad your power is back on. Those hours without power and heat are awful. We had a standby generator installed this summer for such emergencies. In 1998 an ice storm knocked out power in this part of NY State for between 1 and 3 weeks, depending on where you live. We think that there will be more and more bad storms because of global warming.
But you have the fuzzy feets to help you stay warm!

Hope your storms are over. We are expecting the stormy weather to arrive on Wednesday.
