Good morning, Lantus ladies, lads, and lil furbabies!
To my fellow country-folk...happy thanksgiving...and to our members outside of the US...you should come to boise for dinner!
the unamommer can really whip up a tasty meal...

Okay...i'm no expert...but i DO know myself, and know binks pretty well too. i think this is an operator error problem...he's just not getting a consistent dose. so i went back to the BD syringes last night, and practiced my skinny ol' butt off with them.
so i'm fairly confident that he got a good f .25 shot this morning...hoping this will bring him back to the good floors.

I also have banished the adoptocats to one of the bedrooms...and there they will stay today, as his routine and every possession has been totally taken over by the tortie duo...and while i don't think these numbers are stress related...not taking the chance.

Good luck with the dose measurement. Those .25 units are such a test of my syringe drawing capabilities... and the to fatten it up? ohmygod_smile not my strong point, and well, yeah. I need a bigger magnifying glass. :lol:

And Binks - please exit the red floor - use the nearest exit - yellows and blues await you... and that would make your bean very happy.

I hope your involvement with the home goes well - so nice that you gave of your time.

Blackie decided to join Binks on the red floor this morning! ohmygod_smile I hope they both come down soon. I think its probably a good idea to separate the torties. It can help all the kitties make the transition to keep them separate for a while, and then share scents, etc.

We also have your cold weather, Celi. 11 degrees this morning. Brrrrrr. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and stay warm!

Happy Thanksgiving Celi. I think Binks just doesn't want you to have to worry about testing today. He's maybe gonna give you a safe-a-strip cycle. I'm making no promises about tonight.

Happy Turkey Day!

If it was me, if Binks doesn't come down tonight I would get aggressive and go back up to 0.5. It might be that he just came down in dose too quickly and 0.25 isn't quite doing it for him right now. The faster you can get him back to good numbers, the better.

What syringes did you go to that you are moving back to the BDs? I just switched to the Monoject and I like the syringes so much better for not drawing up
bubbles but I think they might be a little tougher to microdose with consistently as the lines are so thin. Would be interested in knowing what you were using.
Good luck with going back to the BDs.

ooo! a heat wave came thru...it is now 6 degrees in boise!

and if you thought i was crazy before...now you can be sure...
i DID don the green tights and green elf jerkin...and let me tell ya....these are NOT winter togs! binks is pretty envious of the lil elf booties, tho.

thank you, Libby...for the suggestion...i was thinking the same...i'm here and thinking i'd rather go back up in dose and possibly have to work to get him back up than let him linger in this numbers.

marj- i switched to the relion syringes. i've liked them better than the mnoject r the ulticare...but i'm really having problems with anything lower than .5u, and the relion have a whole bunch of plastic junk around the tip. Doesnt take much to confuse this bean, so i went back to the ultra comfort from good neighbor pharmacy. probably no difference relly, but we are a superstitious lot...and i figure whatever makes me feel more confident at them eens-weensy doses!

Good luck with the dosecrease, Celi. I'm sure it will get Birnks in greens again. I suspect that the GNP syringes are private label Monoject, but I'm not sure. We need to use whatever works. You've seen the pictures of the microdoses, right? They're in one of the stickies. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

lmao...ele, i've studied pics, used the colored water...it's been hilarious. i'm just a putz.

and as i type...i'm trying to negotiate a new laptop...challenges, challenges!

Well the PMPS is a whole lot nicer than this morning. Good luckon the dosecrease and the BD syringes. I like the Monojest, but ordered some BD to see if there would be a difference. I think that their lines are finer! :lol: I think it's what ever you are used to. I hope you had a great day with your family and assorted inner beings. Did Binks score any turkey?

Good luck with the dosecrease!!! The syringe thing is so funny. I started with Relion but the plungers were weird and the plastic you mentioned at the top was problematic. So I went to the BD...bubble trouble!!! Now I'm using Monoject....less problems with drawing in bubbles but the lines seem finer than BD or relion. Ai yi yi!!!

lol! i never heard this kind of in depth syringe discussion when we were distributing clean needles in Ptld!

Binks scored something better than turkey...the adoptocats are currently banished to the spare bedroom...and the boy and i are having a little alone time.
