Previous condoGave him a dose increase again since that last decrease didnt seem to hold. Seems perkier this morning but we will see how he does through the day as well.

Morning guys, hope the extra juice works! My DH never wanted to test either but it took much convincing and I told him that was the only way Scrabble could get better and that he could end up in the er if he didn't test. Guess it worked, although he ususally will only get one test it is better than nothing and gives me more piece of mind when I am at work. He did test twice the other night when Scrabble was low. Maybe your DH needs some more convincing??? Have a great Sunday!

After +5, Dh started cooking dinner (italian sauce which lasts for weeks since we divide it and freeze), hot italian sausage and took leftover potatoes to make into spicy home fries. He has been at it for over 2 hours. Smells fabulous!!!! Bailey and Tiggy have been sitting at his feet the whole time getting scraps of cheese and raw pork/beef. He is a great cook - just cant persuade him to test more.. guess you cant have everything!! (my friends husband cooks and cleans and everything every night.. plus he works. I dont know how she manages to persuade him to do it.. he must suck in bed or something LOL)
Any problem with DH and testing is a few things:
1. he thinks we test too much and hates causing Bailey any pain (isnt so bothered by Tiggy because Tiggy is loud and annoying at times). This is partly because he pokes a lot - see #3
2. DH believes he can just look at Bailey to see if he is fine - which is ok but when DH gets working he can lose track of time and not notice Bailey has collapsed in a corner. However this argument doesnt seem to work with him. Then I get the "thats because his dose is too high"argument.. subject for another post I think
3. This is the big one I think which is the issue - DH is red green colourblind, and he has problems seeing the veins and the edge of the ear against Baileys colouring. Even with a flashlight. He takes forever to get blood and Bailey has cold ears anyway which makes it not as easy for me but very hard for DH (Tiggy is a real bleeder... one poke and you get too much blood! Bailey starts to object after a while.
4. He keeps saying, just find a ok dose and stick with it. "when are you going to give up on this"? I like to push the envelope but he believes Bailey will never go OTJ and I should just give him like 1 drop and just stick with it. Maybe I will eventually but I am not quite ready to give up hope.. yet.
