*television voice* In the last episode of Ming's Diabetic Journey, his owner gave him a fur shot, resulting in anguished cries of why and a high-ish night for the little kitten. What will happen next?!

Presently, Ming's stomach is gurgling again. He just had some SEB with his snack as well. He had chicken, chicken, chicken, all day. He was NOT gurgly all day yesterday so... *shrugs*

Ketones negative!

Hope everyone's weekend was nice. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans!

Edit: He wasn't gurgly yesterday!! Originally forgot to add in the "not" after the was.

I just received a new glucometer: Arkray. I did a test twice and I got 247 the first time and then 231 the next. Then I used my OneTouch and got 351...

So... I'm not sure what's real. I did a control test like Arkray said to do and it's in range.

The numbers will be closer together in lower numbers, where it really counts. I did similar comparisons with the Bayer Contour and found the same. Right now, he is just “over renal threshold” or too high. Actual numbers don’t matter.

Ah I see. I wasn't expecting the difference to be that much. Because I would be very excited to see a 247 vs. 351.

I guess I can do some tests on myself since I'm sure my BG is lower than Ming's and see what the difference is in lower numbers. Haha!

PMPS = 247

That was an interesting drop Ming. Guess I might be using the new strips tonight. I only have 11 strips of the OneTouch left. I have 200 of the Arkway ones. Will be getting more OneTouch strips tomorrow just in case.

Ok I seriously don't know what to believe...

OneTouch Ultra 2: 221
Arkray: 138

That's a big difference...

edit: When should I worry/expect the numbers to be more accurate? When the numbers turn green?
