Yikes....my dog is very low (for him) this morning (67). That's NEVER happened before. He's on NPH and I'm unsure what to shoot or if to shoot. With Chester I'm pretty secure, but this NPH isn't something I've had to fiddle with before. He's always been pretty regulated. Gave Karo, food and bread. He's now 197 20 minutes later, but that's a food spike. No one home today and I'm VERY nervous! Haven't shot yet.

Just a thought; but can you leave your dog extra food out in a place where Chester can't get to it? That's what I would be inclined to do. Breath. You'll do fine.

My neighbor can come over and give him some, but if I leave any out my little Callie WILL find it! She's very food driven. I've decided to give him 5.5 units (normally 9) and have the neighbor feed him. He'll be through the roof tonight, but it's almost time for me to leave.

Yikes! Now he's 357. Okay, I'm shooting an even 6 because he tends to have a mountain instead of a curve. Likely to go higher rather than lower.

CRAPPPPP! In the middle of all this panic CHESTER JUST GOT INTO THE KIBBLE.....

Have I mentioned that I HATE diabetes?

Chester must think he is a dog.....stay away from the kibble Chester it is no good for you!

oh no, seems like you're having a bit of a crazy morning there. Try to calm yourself, the animals will get through this and so will you.

Sounds like a rough morning at your house today ... I hope that chester comes down for you and that your pup comes down as well, but neither one of them low enough to cause you worry ... try and have a great day!

It definitely was a rough morning, made even more stressful knowing I'm supposed to be gone all day tomorrow. We decided to take our dogs "over the river and through the woods" so I can keep an eye on him until things straighten out.

Chester is, as expected, on a carb high. *sigh* I concede defeat!
