? 11/24/19 Charlotte +11 104;PMPS 120. .5 units; +1.5 119; +3 108; +4.5 107

Good morning Charlotte's mom! It's only been a day since she saw that 49 - and those blues aren't too bad. Let's hope she will indeed make it back to the lagoon with the reduction.

It looks like it's a rainy Sunday morning here too...a bit muggy to start...but some showers bumping around.

Hope you and Charlotte have a lovely day - even with the rain! :D

Thanks sue!!

Yes, reduce tonight.

Another phenomenon you may have seen on here, caregiver talks about an increase and kitty proves you wrong.:p Congrats on the reduction.

This morning, with such a steep drop and so close to 50, HC would have been an option at +2. Charlotte, a nice steady surf in upper greens now please.
Haha! I know I need to wear my patient pants more!

Since you asked elsewhere, this isn’t too soon for a reduction again. The depot can take 4-6 cycles to deplete. Today is cycle 4. Today’s cycle is 0.75 units talking.

Charlotte is doing great! (And so are you). Slip into a nice pair of comfy yoga patience pants.
Thanks Wendy for your guidance and patience! This group is phenomenal, just in case you didn’t already know this! :) :D:D

Hi, just curious -- I've been following this thread to learn from your great advice, and I have a question. If the depot can take 4-6 cycles to drain, how do you know that today's cycle is .75 units talking? How can you tell the depot is no longer in play and doesn't need 2 more cycles (the full 6) to drain? Thanks in advance.

Hi!! I hope you mean for Wendy @Wendy&Neko to answer your question bc I’m still trying to figure out Lantus and all of its quirkiness!!

The depot usually takes less time to drain for smaller doses, more for larger. Even if the there was a bit of depot left, it would only be a very little bit left at this point. Plus Charlotte had a flat blue cycle last night, which can sometimes precedes a cycle of action. I get the feeling her pancreas has seen the light.;) In which case, best be safe and take the reduction.

Thank again Wendy! Hope you are having a great day! :)
