Well vet called today with the results. It's clear she never looked at spreadsheet I sent LOL

So drumroll......fructosamine is 507 poor regulation....no surprise we knew it would be that I knew it was a pointless test.

She said we could move up to 2u or better to only move to 1.5u. (This is how I know she never saw spreadsheet he is at 2.75u:rolleyes:)

She was worried about a hypo event if we did 2u hahahaha...course she also assumes I'm shooting blind and wants me to continue to shoot blind so dumb!

She said its gonna be slow slow but he is getting there and even if he is in the 200s and fructosamine shows well regulated she would be happy. Let me quote..."clinical signs are more important than numbers" if he is acting more himself then we are just fine! She wants to see him january... so blind shooting and not seeing him for over a month....

I just played nice wished her a happy thanksgiving and that was it...

So yeah done with that lol moving on to new vet Saturday :cat:

I sure hope the new vet knows more about fd. If not you have the fdmb so as long as the new vet doesn’t pressure you who cares.

I hope you have more luck with the next vet.
I would be asking some questions first before committing..
I actually had a quick phone interview before making appt. She was excited that I was already home testing so on tick in her box for sure. Loved i had a spreadsheet another tick. Was a little hesitant when I told her I was using tr protocol...told her I didnt do it lightly nor carelessly and explained how his numbers improved some over the two weeks and she seemed to understand so I think I'm on a good track for sure...

Sounds good. Let us know how you get on!

A vet that is willing to learn abt FD or at least hear about what works is better than one that “knows it all” and tells u to decide the dose based on fructoseamine test :banghead::banghead: our vets (yes plural) peaked at the SS but never cared enough to research how come Chico went into remission even though they were saying this would never happen:rolleyes:
good luck in finding a new vet
