Jill seems to be doing ok today, she doesn't seem to be bothered by her new booboos. I'm going to reach out to my other cat's dermatologist to see if I can get an opinion on what do to next with Jill and her terrible skin.

Jill sure has nice numbers for a kitty with a skin issue! I sure hope you can get that figured out.

I presume you've looked at food allergies?

Glad she's not suffering. That's awesome you know a cat dermatologist. They gotta know what it is, right?

The derm doesn’t have appointments until April. Is that crazy or what? I’m still not sure if it’s a derm issue or if we’d be better off seeing an internal medicine specialist. I wish my regular vet would call and let me know what she thinks.
Her BG right now doesn’t make sense to me.

April is ridiculous! IM would be better than nothing I suppose.
Try peroxide on one of them (as a control) and see if it will start to heal, maybe with some vaseline as a protectant after it's nice and dry?

Hey Debra. Your +3 this morning says 244 but you have it highlighted in green. What was the number? By the way, your Jill is doing very well with the numbers. I'm sorry to hear about the skin issues. I hope you get some information and some solutions.

For the sores, you could try putting on diluted (1 in 10) hibitane/water solution. Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse off. That's what my vet suggested when current kitty has some itchy sores. And also what Ana's IM vet suggested for her Cushings kitty Frosty on his sores. I vote for an IM vet. Who did the diagnosis of eosinophilic granuloma complex? Poor girl.

Several years ago we noticed a lesion on her tongue and the vet did a biopsy and it came back as oral squamous cell carcinoma. They gave us 3-4 months with her. She was on chemo for a year+ and then we had the biopsy looked at again and they said, - oh oops, it's eosinophilic granuloma. Thankfully it wasn't fatal, thankfully she tolerated the chemo that she didn't even need, thankfully she's still with us. But I can't even think of how much time and money we spent on vet visits and chemo and it wasn't even the vet who suggested taking another look at the original biopsy, it was me. I met another vet through a work thing and was talking about it and he said that mistake gets made a lot - the cells look very similar. Siiigggghhh.
