Amps 148 Libre

We’re at day 4 after Ivy’s skip of insulin to go to the vet appointment. Hoping her depot is settling back and we see some more and better bg. Last night was mostly blue on the Libre.

Will see how today goes and decide if she may need an increase.

Will feed her 12.5% tonight so we can head out for dinner.

I asked the vet office for a copy of her labs and they only sent urinalysis report.:spam:
I emailed back asking for the rest of labs. Will have to call yet again this morning. (Shouldn’t be so difficult) :banghead:

I want to share the report with my nutritionist for meeting this Tuesday.

glad Ivy came down last night and saw this beautiful string of blue again. Maybe I missed one info: So the urineanalysis was clear? That would be great news!

Hope they send you the report soon. Sometimes I feel a lot of people don't ask for the report so they are not used to send it. Strange, but seems like that.

Ivy had a beautiful blue start in the day. I hope she stays like that without strange drops, so you can go out for dinner with no worries.

Hi Heike, yes the UA looked good. Whew.
When I was ending the call with the vet, we said goodbye and then I realized I forgot to ask him to send me the report so I started to ask, but he had already hung up so I called back.
Spoke to the front desk. Asked them to send the report And they said they looked in her chart and it wasn’t there so they’d have to get it uploaded.
They only sent me the UA report so I emailed back and said I never got the blood report and still nothing.
I’ll give them a little while, but I want to call because I know they’re only there for a few hours this morning.
I always ask for the report so you would think he might know, but I’m sure he’s got more things on his mind than just my needs of my report;)

Hoping she stabilizes today and brings her overall range down a bit. Hoping for a nice long walk today outside, even though it’s cold.
Need to get some vitamin D.

I've missed a bunch of days and posts but happy to see Ivy is doing so well. Even though you had to skip she bouncing back so fast.

So good to hear she’s getting her old numbers back. Hopefully you get your lab results…I find the week before T-giving can be hectic getting things done anywhere…and esp the week between Christmas and New Year. (Small brag about my wonderful vet who texts or emails his results same day…I am so blessed because I’ve had others completely opposite)

Hi Madeline, thanks for your good wishes. I’m glad to see her back in the blues again, too. It was making me a little nervous, not seeing them for a few days.

I finally got the lab results from the vet this morning so I’ve had a chance to look at them quickly and I will get them over to my nutritionist for the appointment. Hopefully she’ll have a minute to look at them before we chat.

I hope you and Butch are having a calm day and hope you enjoy your evening with a safe surf :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Karolina, it’s been a hectic week here. It seems everyone is having a bit of a busy time. I think it starts now and goes through the end of the year.
I hope you will enjoy some time at home with the boys and hope work is going well. I hope the people out there aren’t too crazy :rolleyes:

Thanks, Colleen. You are right, you do have a wonderful vet who is so responsive to you. It’s practically unheard of the amount of interaction you have with your vet.
Most people don’t have that capability and I’m glad that you do have it because Methos really requires intense care.

Ivy and I are sending warm wishes to you and Methos for a calm night ahead and good wishes for sleep for both of you :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci,

wow, Ivy had a dip to green again! Seems like the depot is full again! Hope you managed to go after she became more stabel. Vitamin D is important!

So great the urine looked good! I hope they sent the report already. I really think they find it unusual people want this. Everything else was fine?

Hi Heike, well she did another late dip today at +10.75 so I gave her a tsp of 12.5%.
She’s definitely teetering on going lower today. I feel like she’s trying to get back there so I canceled the reservation for dinner that we had because it was 20 minutes away and I don’t want to be that far.
We’re just gonna stay very local tonight and stay real close. I should be able to be home by +2.5 at latest before she really tanks if she’s heading in that direction. I’ll just feel more comfortable being closer to home tonight. It’s fine. You have to be able to pivot and do what you must.

I did get the rest of the lab results later this morning and everything else looks pretty good. Her creatinine was even lower than before, which seems so odd to me. I really feel like the thyroid is camouflaging what has to be going on there.
I’m really curious what the nutritionist vet has to say when she looks at all the labs It’s another set of eyes on everything, so I really like meeting with her.
