Well Attie continues to mystify all of us ....

At the vet today to see if we can figure out the sudden jump in numbers and insulin need...

Blood work results came back this evening...."pretty much normal."

So Dr. N is left with two thoughts....

1. ER vet gave Attie the wrong steroid
2. Atlas is being Atlas and he needs more insulin....we're up to 3u :? And Dr. N said hold it there through tomorrow. He said he is going to call back as we're waiting for one more result to come back, but he doesn't expect it to be inconsistent at this point.

Whole cat report: Eating like a horse!!! poops are all good. This mornig he was playing and climbing cat trees(although the rest of the day he slept from his pet sitting ride around and vet visit). Got up to make a nuisance when I was home about his food bowl being empty. He is not drinking a lot ...yet. Just eating up a storm...which might be the diabetes and might be the steroid?

Yes, apparently there is a short acting and then a "regular." Basically on should last 72 hours to get through a crisis....

The other can last up to 3 months or longer...

No need to say Dr.N is not too happy at this prospect....but ...he is concerned to get the dose up enough to counter act the increased BG's.

And if my reading is right tonight...looks like we may have hit it at 3.0u.....
