Well, we finally had a decent cycle - which of course has created a bounce. ohmygod_smile I'm going to add alarms in my phone for evening feedings as I pretty regular miss +3 and dont test/feed until +4 - a which time he's usually dropped a bit and I THINK that is what's generally contributing to the bounces.
Of course, with it being rather quiet... another animal decides they need to stir up drama. Brody - my elderly pug has been pretty down lately. He sleeps 24/7 and growls, snaps, yells at my young cattle dog if she tries to play with him. Of course, I don't blame him... she's pretty obnoxious... but normally he will play with her MOST of the time. He seems to be having some pain in his back end. His gait is stiff in the morning especially. He's already getting turmeric (herbal) for his breathing issues (he's had a collapsing trachea for years) but I'm going to add some glucosamine and see if that helps - though if it's joint stiffness, the turmeric should be helping (it's an anti-inflammatory). Anyway... he's clearly in pain - the stiff walk, and his normally curled tail is mostly straight. Plus the extra grumpiness. I have some Tramadol from my last cattle dog that passed away before we got the crazy pup. Does anyone know the dose for a 18lb dog?? It was prescribed for a 70lb dog - so I'm thinking no more than a quarter tablet - but thought some of you may know.
