Looks like the dosecrease is doing its job! We can deal with numbers like this for a while. Shadow has a vet appt for another protein/creatinine ratio test and more bloodwork a bit later this afternoon. It will fall right around his +6, so we won't get an accurate reading since he usually spikes with the stress. We'll also discuss other alternatives to treat his colitis. We may have to break out the steroids. I know that may mess with his values, but at this point, it may be our last alternative. Hoping that's not the case. *crossing fingers* Positive vibes appreciated if you have a few to spare!

Well will continue with the Tylan for another week and a half or so to see if we get some improvement. If that doesn't work, we will move to Flagyl... and after that, it's off to the specialists at UC Davis vet hospital for more extensive testing. *sigh* More watching and waiting ahead.

Paws crossed for the Tylan to do it's thing. If you do end up going to UC/Davis, you should talk to Tricia/Cinco, as that's where she's taking him now.

Shadow just took a late cycle dive. No hypo symptoms, but he's definitely hungry! With his colitis issues, I didn't want to give him the high carb gravy so I added a couple of drops of corn syrup to 10cc of his regular food. And now we wait - I'll be back in a bit.

20 mins later and he's up to 62. Back in another 20.

And he's now zooming back up with a +9.75=90. I'm pretty sure he'll bounce. I'm heading back to bed and will be back in an hour.
