First the WCR: Tinkles is doing great, all P's in place. His higher AMPS this morning is due to a re-offer of dinner courtesy of the dog sometime before PM+6 last night. (Trying to be kind to Pat....I know how much she enjoys my graphic descriptions! :mrgreen: )
Yesterday was quite the interesting day...we had an early Thanksgiving at my mother's house, and I was going to give Tinkles some higher carb food to boost him up while we were gone. I ended up deciding to take him with us instead because I didn't want to worry, and I thought it would be a good chance to see how he would do with traveling. So DD and I packed Tinkles' stuff up (DH was working) and set out. We got about 2 miles from home and ran into a car problem, so turned around and came home and spent an hour fixing the car...ok, set out again. We got to the exact same place the second time, and Mr. Tinkles decided to pukus and poop in the carrier! I had to pull over and clean up the mess, but he seemed ok after that, so we continued on our way. He rode the rest of the way fine. He's a very sociable cat, so all of the people didn't bother him at all...he wandered all over the house, rubbed on everything and everyone and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. He only ate a small snack, but that was ok. He rode great almost all the way home, then had a little pukus about 5 minutes before we arrived home. The drive is about an hour. I'm pretty sure that he gets car sick when we ride on windy roads...he seemed fine on the highways. All in all, the trip was pretty successful. I am thinking that if we do this again, I will plan on going a different way so I can avoid the windy, hilly back roads as much as possible.
I was pretty wiped out last night, sorry I missed everyone's condos. I had a busy weekend, so I'm trying to get some things caught up today....I may not get to condos until later. Have a great Monday!
