I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Ours was a day of trying to escape freezing weather! we actually did fairly well with that. It was hard to keep the boys indoors, but with temps in the 28/32 range it would have been a real challenge to keep them warm. so.... we found alternatives, and they had a good time. Nicholas got to pick, so he was one happy little boy.
Here's what I wrote in last night's post: "Good Evening everyone. I hope your day has been a good one. We did OK here, had a good time, even with all out "cold" well.... for us, 30 is COLD! ;-) i doubt it made it out of the 30's. last I checked our high here at the house was 35. wow. and more to continue tonight through tomorrow. On the plus side it was gorgeous out there - sun everywhere, with an awesome sunrise, awesome sunset. in a way it was a shame not to really make it outdoors today, but it was just too cold for the littlest guy. so. indoor places today, as much as that pained me. One knows it is frozen outside when the little guys asks for a coat.   Nicholas picked the aquarium today. lordie be... we are becoming regulars there now, weekly regulars. But that's OK. I view the place as being an indoor version of the outdoors. sorta. He loves the place and is learning there too. Today at one of the tidal tanks he spent sometime with one of the workers there , it was just him and her at this area of tide pools, learning what was in the tanks. She'd show him a photo, ask him to find the animal, which he did, and then she'd tell him about it. It was kinda cool. He wanted to stay and learn. What was kinda fun was that he remembered last weeks lesson on anemones, where their "mouth" and "teeth" are, and today he showed me. You can actually see these things whet they are suck to the side of a glass wall. Really cool stuff! Today was alot of time spent with the fish and the tidal stuff, and the octopus. He loves those octopus. They were very active today. That too is fascinating to watch. William is fun there too - even at 5 months he watches all he sees there - and seems drawn to the really big fish tanks. Probably the bright colors, but no matter, it's just nice that he is looking. well anyways, another fun day with the sea-life. it is such a great place to go. We took Erin out to lunch after that. always fun there too. I had hoped to hit the park in the afternoon, but issues with William, bottles and diapers at lunch delayed us enough that there just wasn't time to get out to the park. I had to stop at home to replenish, as William went through alot more diapers and food that any of us anticipated.  oh well, no biggie, we will go tomorrow." And little to write about. what s up with that? They really have been good kitties yesterday - even Lola. She ran alot, she always does, but nothing was Lola-ized. AWESOME! But a large part of me knows it is just the calm before the next storm.    With the frozen weather yesterday all kitties were in sleep mode. All of them snuggled up. I was soooooooooo jealous! ;-) Bug was such a good boy yesterday. He let Nicholas come and pet him, even let him give him a kiss on his forehead! AWESOME! Nicholas was so thrilled that Bug stayed, didn't take off.
Slowly he is accepting the craziness and noise that come with a 2 yr old.  I know I've written this before, but I still remember Mannie when Nicholas found his voice, and his legs. He was on "LOOK OUT" mode.  It seems to be the same with Bug. Lola was a good girl yesterday, just into everything as she always is. She is so full of life, so curious about all that she sees. Guess I can't blame her for wanting to see all she can, and explore even more. GOOOOOOOOOOOO LOLA. I felt bad though. She was frig door riding last night, and I left it open for her. Well the door decided to close, on its own, and well... you guessed it, her tail, well a small portion of it was still low enough that the door closing caught part of it. She didn't cry out, just whacked the door.  No damage done I guess. YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!
Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. I hope to take the boys up to a river, maybe.... as yesterday, alot depends upon the weather. We are due for more cold. I hope it won't be as cold as yesterday... we can handle the 40's... just not the 20/30's outdoors. It may end up being a local river park today. We also plan on swimming in the evening, if Nicholas still wants to go. I will try and get to condos when I can.
