I haven't posted a report in awhile. Hope it's still ok to post a civie report even though I no longer have a diabetic and barely post on LL anymore

Emma went through a sneezing fit last Wednesday  No idea what triggered it. Maybe the heating sytem which turned on for the first time this season? The filter is clean. All 4 Ps were in place so I didn't feel a call to Dr. B was necessary. She has since stopped sneezing except for the occasional one. Then around the same time I don't think she peed in the litter box for two days :o There were big clumps of pee but those were Leroy's. Emma makes small pee clumps. She did eventualy pee  LB habits have been good since then... minus the one time when poop got stuck on her fur and she scooted around trying to get it off ohmygod_smile

Leroy is still being his usual PITA crazy energetic self ohmygod_smile Right now he has some sort of irritation on his left front paw pads that he keeps picking and chewing at @-) He can use the paw just fine for walking and stuff but it does hurt when I pick at the black goo covered fur tuft in between the toes. I sent Dr. B the pictures and he said to put a teeny bit of corticosteroid ointment on it. I'm doing that plus washing the paw with diluted Nolvasan. I don't think I have any leftover baby socks from when Squishy had the TOTP removed. I'll have to get a pair and put one on Leroy's paw to keep him from picking and chewing.

Both cats have an appointment with Dr. B next week, just their annual exams. The appointment was made before their current health issues ocrcured @-) It happens all the time - I make an appointment and then the health issues start ohmygod_smile Fingers crossed for no more health issues before then nailbite_smile

I found this great cat tree at a Home Goods store a few weekends ago :-D It fits perfectly under my windows for some great bird watching :-D Oddly, I found the cat tree sitting in the middle of the kitchenware aisle of the store. Both civies love the tree  Emma sleeps on it all the time. Leroy loves whacking the hanging toy. I still have the 6 foot tall tree which the civies still use.

I'm doing ok. Dealing with some high stress levels at TBP right now @-) I'm basically

every day at work right now. Someone I have to work with has not been meeting expectations for the past couple of months (sloppy work, doing half the stuff assigned and claiming to have finished it, making up excuses that don't make sense when work doesn't get done on time as clearly specified in an email, missing projects, unhappy customers, etc) and supervisor has not really addresses the issues until now... after the end of year reviews have been submitted  I have met with my manager twice to discuss the issues so he is aware of what's going on but I think he wants to leave it up to the supervisor to handle things. The person has been with the team for 2 years now (6 years I think with the department) and is nowhere near the competency level as the 2 new people with zero experience hired earlier this year.

Looking to a somewhat relaxing day today before I head back to work tomorrow. With the civie's upcoming appointment, the extra holiday pay would help out a bit.

That all sounds pretty normal to me  .... life and stress. :-D
Maybe you just need walk in appointments so the kitties can't anticipate with ailments for an appointment.
I don't know how you would keep a sock on a kitty paw. That sounds challenging.

Your co-worker doesn't sound very smart. You may be watching someone get the axe soon... streamlining costs is definitely on the forefront
of most businesses this year. I worry for many here ( our town is mostly reliant on the los alamos national lab.

Hope you have nice Thanksgiving and stuff those kitties with noms!
Shadow gets to sit at our table ( if she chooses) just like in the movie Thomasina .

I enjoyed reading your update on Emma and Leroy. That is a nice cat tree, looks like it is the perfect height for them to look out of the window and monitor their domain.

I hope everything get straightened out at work with your problem employee.

Have a great day today.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving

Great report on the civies. I have a co-worker like yours, but the problem is that she gets away with it all AND gets promoted for it. What is wrong with that picture? She does everything possible to get out of doing her own work, and then if she does, she does it wrong.... A portion of my work depends on hers, so it is extremely frustrating. She is great friends with the boss though... Need I say more?

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your day, good luck with the vetty appts.

Leroy Bud....let's drive beans craze tuday...ferget dat we iz ADD kitties 'n act NORMAL. DAT will get 'em wonderin'....signed Nuisance

Yep, I NEED my Leroy and Emma update! BIG HUG!!!

Happy Thanksgiving :-D I had dinner at my parent's house. My place is way too small plus my electric stove takes forever to cook anything  Both civies got a little raw turkey. Leroy eats it straight up but Emma needs her mixed in with her NV raw. I have some Stella and Chewy's turkey to give them later, Leroy's smushed up so he doesn't choke @-)

Leroy's paw is much better today :-D It's a little scabby but healing well. There's still some black stuff there but it doesn't hurt Leroy when I wash it.

Emma just tried horking up a hairball  Nothing came out, though. I gave her (and Leroy) some hairball gel to help move things along.

Lol  The vet at work suggested that once when I still had Squishy and the gerbils and the mouse  if it wasn't Squishy having issues, it was one of the rodents. Back then I was at the vet hopsital at least once a month @-) Fortunately the vet hospital I use is a 24/7 ER one so it's always open at the oddest hours when my pets decide to get sick.

A little velcro tape stuff  Vet wrap also works.

Yeah, not happy with having to work with a problem co-worker :? The team can't afford to lose this person because we don't have anyone who can immediately backfill the position. But we also can't afford to have an incompetent person who keeps screwing things up, some of which we can get in trouble for by an internal company compliance group who does frequent walkthroughs.

Iz like driving bean nutz :-D Itz keep beans on toez :-D
