I've been having some wonky board issues this morning...hopefully that's all fixed.

Almost green....maybe we'll call it teal!

Trix is a happy girl today...appy is ecstatic, gelcaps have been smooth, snuggles have been distributed. And, another "old" behavior resurfaced this morning...she was rolling around in front of the heating vent, warming her belly fur! I tried to get a picture, but by the time I got back with my phone, she had stopped - of course  . It was very cute to see. Trix was always a very roly-poly kitty - in addition to rolling around in front of heating vents, she also likes to roll around on the ottoman and with catnip toys. But she stopped doing it when she got sick last spring. We just started seeing hints of it again pretty recently, with the ottoman and toys, and now with the heating vents. She continues to amaze me.

All is well from the eye doc, although it looks like I have the very, very, very start of cataracts. No surprise, really....both my parents have had the surgery. I have to pick up my new specs in the next few days. The highlight, though, was that I stopped at Trader Joe's afterwards...and my very favorite Candy Cane Joe Joe's were on the shelves :-D !!! LOVE them, and since I missed out on the pumpkin Joe Joe's, I was NOT going to miss out on these...I bought three boxes  ...and will probably buy a few more, "just in case" !

It is too cold here...only a few days into this, and I already have my first fissure of the season next to my thumbnail (extremely painful), and my knuckles are bright red and cracking despite tons of heavy duty lotion. My body just does not like winter at all, but we can't relocate for quite some time yet...

Somehow, it is already time to get ready for work....have a great day, LL!

Nice job on that +3.5 Trixie! That looks green to me. Glad to hear she is so happy. I love it when old behaviors come back. Silly girl. Tarragon is rolly too, mainly just on to his back though.

Oy on the cataracts. Both of my parents have had it done as well so I just hold my breath each year. Yummmm on the Trader Joe's. I really wish we would get one here.

We are having a hard time getting used to the cold too this year. Ouch on the fissure. I know you have a terrible time with them in the winter. Have a wonderful day Amy!

I think that 101 can be called green too. It's great to hear old behavior is coming back.

I'm sorry about the start of cataracts and the cold affecting your hands. My thumbs crack quite a bit in the cold weather. I haven't found anything that works really well.

Well, now, I have had my cataracts fixed and I see green up there at +3.5. Must be so.

Love, love, love the old Trixie making a comeback. Such a long haul for all of you. Makes the reward so much sweeter I suspect. Just makes me smile. Big smile. Sorta warms my heart, too, on this chilly desert night. Thanks, Trix. Keep on rolling.

Amy, a 101 is probably 89 on another meter! Glad to hear Trix is showing so much exuberance and sounding so happy! Sending continued prayers for you dad, hope his infection is one and he will be ready for next week. BTW, I have really dry skin as well, have you ever tried Burt's Bes Hand Salve? It is greasy, but you use it at night with gloves(yeah, I know no very romantic but it beats cracked, bleeding skin  )

My sister's manicurist said to use super glue on finger cracks. It works! It stops the sting for a few days. Ugh on the cataracts. Love the Trixie report. :-D :-D :-D

Hi Amy,
I'm glad that Trixie is having such a good time and feeling good. That 101 is surely a green!

Sorry about your eyes, but everyone says you should wait until you really need it to have cataract work done. I'm still holding out and mine have stayed the same for years now.

Did you ever have frostbite or frostnip on your fingers? I did back in the 1970s on a winter climb. After that, for years, I got very painful chilblains on my fingers and toes. But the capillaries re-grew and they are OK now (but I have to be very careful to keep my hands and feet warm in cold, damp weather).

Stay warm! It's 9 degrees here tonight!!

I'm going with Ruth on the +3.5 - taking meter variance into account, it's green! ;-)

I, too, was just told I had very, very early stage cataracts. The doctor told me they wouldn't be "ripe" until I hit my 70's, but I told him my sister just had hers done last year at 57, so he revised his estimate down by 15 years! I don't mind. I had laser surgery 17 years ago and my nearsightedness has gotten a little worse recently- so cataract surgery would fix that. I just have to be patient till then.

Yay on still more old behaviors returning. Trixie does bring you such joy, doesn't she?
