Good morning! Her numbers came down just a bit last night after the first dose with new pen. She was in blue at +4 with a 162. I havent seen a blue +pmps in a while. Shes back up this am, so I guess it may be too soon to tell if it was the insulin gone bad. The pen seems to be somewhat more difficult with bubbles, or maybe I just have to get more practice, or maybe both. I am off to tbp  I was glad to have a day off, but the next one is nowhere in sight. Only 2 of the 6 new servers have been background checked, and one was ineligible :YMSIGH: Hope to get the others in today before the HR lady goes away for a whole week starting tomorrow..(must be nice..) I need to tie a knot in my rope and hang on  Paws crossed for Chi Chi to have some lower numbers today for grandma. Have a great day everyone!

Give it some time, Laura. Takes a while with a new dose, probably takes a while with a new pen if the old vial was suspect.

Laura, I've been complaining about the bubbles from the pens as well. I think I wrote to you about it. I can't get rid of them. When the first pen was almost empty I tried to do it by shooting the insulin back into the pen. You are NOT supposed to do it but since it was about empty I wanted to see if that helped. It did by the way. I've given up on bubbles. If draw up more than I need and if I get one that is bigger than usual, I try to get rid of it but leave a tiny amount more in to make up for the bubble. If it looks about the same as usual I consider it part of figuring out the dose. It's actually what put the + on my 2.5+ dose if that makes sense. Maybe you will get better at it than I am but if not consider the bubble when determining your dose might work for you too.
