Yesterday's Condo

The kitties will no doubt be happy. I have been having a fireplace installed in my living room. The final bit of the work should be done today (fingers crossed) and there will no longer be strangers in my condo. I have to admit, this was the least intrusive bit of remodeling I've done. The crew even cleaned up after themselves every day.
 
Yeah for no more strangers and sure you'll enjoy the fireplace. Hope Gabby comes down and visits the green fields for you today.
 
My cats are very jealous - I'm sure that's what they would like for Christmas, a fireplace! Especially now that we are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow. Enjoy!
 
Nice! I am thinking of having our fireplace converted to a wood stove. I'm too much of a pyromaniac for gas. :joyful: Plus we live in a forest that needs thinning, it would be doing my part.

Woohoo!! It's done! I have tall friends coming for Thanksgiving so I'll have them help me put decorative items on the shelves and get my vintage posters up on the walls.

The fireplace looks great! Between that and the courtyard, Gabby and Gizmo have the best of both worlds. Would love to see a post-decor pic, too ... :cool:
 
beautiful! Just needs kitty beds on the hearth to be complete.

And I've been seeing winter weather warnings for the midwest, so you're just in time. If you get snowed in, you'll have a cozy fire to snuggle by.
 
is that one of those liquid flame ones? I saw those in a store.... they are so cool ( er, hot? )

Hi Liz, Our wood stove (a Quadra Fire) is a fireplace insert. It is wonderful. It is an earlier model of this one, I think:
