Good morning! Now we have red! I increased to 2.75 this am. I may just have to go bite the bullet and fork out the 281.00 for a new vial. I hate waiting for her to come down with each small increase, which so far nothing. I took today off since I was at 75 hours straight (8 days). What little staff I have left is worn out too, so its possible someone will call off and I have to go in . I hired 6 people..just waiting to get them through background checks etc. I was so tired last night that I went to sleep with makeup on! and I Never do that!
I think I will have more ~O) now :smile: Have a great day everyone!

I hope your new staff is up and running quickly....you sound exhausted!! And, I hope you get to keep your day off today...have a great one, Laura!

You must be so exhausted. I hope Chi Chi responds to this increase. Perhaps the others just weren't big enough to do much. I hope once your new staff settles in you can take some much deserved and I am sure needed time off. Enjoy today and I hope nobody lets you down.

She dropped but still high numbers.. :YMSIGH: and someone is trying to call off for pm shift...ugh..but thanks Elise and Amy..at least I have a job that Im grateful for, but this ones killing me :twisted:

Not late Elise..just would have to be there til my normal time..6:45, It wouldnt interfere with pmps..just would be frustrating :sad: I talked her into working after all..now hopefully no one else text me.. nailbite_smile

Edit; theyre all burnt out from doing triple shifts..7:30-7:30..but still at 40 hours..when I was their age I did it all the time :roll:

So, I got the vet to write an rx for the pens, and went to target first to make sure they will sell me just one at a time, and they will! I am going to go get the rx from the vet now and pickup the pen. I will start it tonight. Should I give 2.75u or drop back to 2.5, since this is fresh insulin. I would hate to see her plummet on mom tomorrow nailbite_smile . Oh and the vet called me this am since I had emailed her about writing a new script for the pens. She "scorned" me for not having her regulated by now, because she should be by now! Its been 9 months, and she also said thats why she should be seen more often that once every 6 months. Asked me all these questions about her numbers, dose amounts, yada yada yada..She told me to get her in for checkup/BW within a month, and bring my meter again to compare...sheesh. "You should never use a vial past 3 months" she said. Most of what I answered she basically ignored, but I was nice and played well with her to get the script ;-)

Yep, say yes, smile and ignore what doesn't apply. I'm glad Target will sell you single pens.

Had to drive over to vet for rx. Picked up the pen from Target for only 50 bucks. :smile: I will start the new pen tonight and will drop dose back to 2.5u. I hope her numbers come down, but if not, at least I will know it wasnt the insulin and go from there..

What a day! Hope those background checks are done quickly and everyone on your hire list gets on board soon. You need some down time.

Sending light that the new pen does the trick! Now Chi Chi, do your part, please.
