Hello LL!

It is hard to believe that Bear Man has been gone 6 weeks now. I hate not posting Old Timer condos on Saturdays, so I thought I would open a quick family update.

Miss Emily has gone through a rough time, but has shown a lot of improvement recently. It seems that a combo of sub Q Bupe, sub Q famotidine, and sub Q fluids is making her feel much better. Her walking has greatly improved, and her appetite is coming back. She can walk around comfortably upstairs, move from one bed to another, and sometimes enjoys lying on the new floor mat.



Teddy is having a hard time coping with the loss of Bear. He has lost some weight, and seems a bit unwell at times. He does sometimes sneak into bed beside Emily (partially motivated by her heating pad), and she allows it. Both kitties are going to the vet next week for rechecks. Pinkerton has been a bit agitated lately. He is taking some Paroxetine, which has helped him in the past. Some days, I could just pop that chicken flavored Paxil myself.



I am very excited to be participating in the transport next weekend of Rusty to his new home with Ella. Ronnie has graciously agreed to keep me company on our long drive to the drop off point in Kingston, Ontario on Saturday. Rusty will be having a sleepover at my house on Friday night. It will be great to meet Rusty, Ronnie, and Ella!

I am not on the board much any more, but I hope everyone is doing well. Lots of hugs to Michelle and Doodle.
 
((((((Linda)))))))) it's great to see you. You can open a family condo whenever you want. It's good to hear that Miss Emily is doing better, and that she is trying to help Teddy out a little bit too. I hope Pinkerton will calm down soon.

I'm soooo excited that you get to meeting Ronnie AND Ella (and for them to meet you) and help with Rusty! What a great LL family reunion that will be. I'm getting all teary just thinking about it, wish I could be there too.
 
Hugs to you and the family, Linda! I'm glad Miss Emily and Teddy and comforting each other (even if the heat mat is the incentive). And I hope they are comforting you.
 
oh, what i wouldn't give to be a fly on the window of that car trip, and get to see the meeting with ella!

and as short as the time was that we got to know bear man...we miss him, along with you and the other furkids...

Thanks so much for the Bear Man Family Update. I know what you mean about the 6 weeks. It's been 7 since Stu arrived at the Bridge and it seems both like ages ago and like yesterday. We are excited that Rusty will be making his new home with us, but Stu will always be here, close to us, too, as I know that Bear Man is always with you and his fur family.
We are really looking forward to meeting (in person!) you and Ronnie next Saturday. See you in Kingston!

I'm so glad you posted and gave us an update on the family. Hugs to you all.

That's so neat that you are helping w/transporting Rusty.... and getting to meet Ronnie and Ella.

We miss you and miss hearing about Bear Man.

Please continue to give family updates and pics. Your kitties are just beautiful and I'm glad they can be of some comfort to one another.....and hopefully for you too.

And if you snag any photos on the trip by chance....pls post.

I also would love to come along on the Rusty ride and meet all of you. I think you should go to NY by way of Boston. :mrgreen:
I am glad to hear that Emily is doing a little better. Poor Teddy, I am sure he is lost without his sweet Bear. I am sorry to hear about Pinkerton.
 
Linda, I'm glad you posted today too. I am very happy to hear that Emily is feeling better. I know how worried you were. I'm sorry that Teddy is having a hard time and I hope he'll feel better soon. I am so happy about your trip with Rusty and I can't wait to hear about it. Have a great Caturday!

I am glad to hear the Miss Emily is coming along so well, have you stopped the acu sessions?
I am also sorry to hear the Teddy is so sad and losing weight, but maybe a bit of the heating pad will help him.
Hopefully, they will be a comfort to each other.
Will Pinkerton's agitation take long to ease with the medication? I hope not.

Have safe travels on the Rusty adventure... who's taking the pictures??
 
Oh please...before you go to Boston, can you stop here south of Tampa? And then go to Boston and NY? Please????? :mrgreen:
That is so great that you will be driving with Rusty and Ronnie and then get to meet Ella and Edward too!
We will all be with your in spirit....wish we could all be there in person though.... Rusty is such a lucky kitty....
he is getting the V.I.P. transport there! We are so excited for him and for Ella and Edward too.

You guys are in my thoughts so much....I am sending scritches to dear Teddy....glad that he can snuggle next to miss Emily some times. And happy to hear that everything you are doing is helping her. How are YOU doing Linda?

It is so nice to have a family update. we all think of you often. I am happy that Emily is doing better. that is so great! I feel for Teddy, and hope in time he will feel better, and not miss Bear Man so much. I had adopted a pair of cats from a friend that had to move and could not take his cats. They were as close as Bear Man and Teddy. It was so hard on the one when her brother died from CRF. It took time, but eventually she felt better. I hope the same for Teddy.

I think too that it is so great that you will help with Rusty's transport. I would have loved to have participated in that - too bad that I am in WA state. So I will experience it in abstentia. A safe and happy journey for all, and enjoy the LL get-to-gether. it is so great when us beans can actually meet each other.

I hope that in the future you will post more family updates. :-D It is great to hear from you!
 
linda, i'm so happy to see a family update condo (and hope to see more in the future). LL will always remain your home.
looks like there's a little re-routing of Rusty's transport going on today... NY via Boston and Tampa. Shouldn't be a problem to swing by Nashville, right? :mrgreen:
 
1) Yay. glad most everyone is feeling better. Hoping all of your babies will turn to each other for comfort, and to you, of course.

2) they should totally invent chocolate flavored anti-depressants. Oh wait, they have. Godiva.

3) You're coming to Boston?

Your condos are always welcome here. You're a big part of our family. And, well, we heart you.
I'm glad Emily is doing better, and I too hope that Teddy will find comfort (on the heating pad) with Emily.

That is so nice of you to help with the transport of Rusty. And Rusty is very lucky to get Ella as a new mom.
A lot of us are envious of your trip and getting to meet others of "our kind" :lol:

Hi Linda: Great to see a Family update. Hopefully Teddy will recover soon from his loss. He took such good care of Bear Man. Miss seeing your beautiful pictures on Caturday. Hope the rest of the furbabies continue to do well. Have a good time with the transport. Rusty will be in very good hands.
 
Oh, oh, oh, and can you could stop by in ct after you leave florida on your way to boston and than NY. I would love to be in that car too. And as it looks your gonna need one of those vans that holds a lot of passengers. :-D

I know you must miss Bear Man terribly. Sending comforting vines to you and the kitties. Love will get you and them through.

Linda, I had the pleasure of meeting Ella & DH last weekend & had a great time..They are so looking forward to getting Rusty & making a nice home for him!!
You & Ronnie, I would also love to meet you both..Could you swing by Long Island & see us too :lol:

I'm sure it is a hard adjustment for all of you--I still think of Bear Man often..You are still my Hero Momma bean..Any cat that calls home with you is so lucky--
