Trix has all four paws firmly planted in the lagoon this morning  ! I have to work, but DH will be around to keep an eye on things. She is being her usual snuggly sweet little self. I guess her hop up into the blues with fuds spikes was probably just one of those random "she's a cat with FD" things....plus, she was probably reading and responding to my intense anxiety over Noah.
I'm hesitant to say it out loud for fear of jinxing anything, but Noah really seems to be back to 100% (anti-jinx!!!!). Thank you, Michelle and Barb, for suggesting that the eating issue could have been because he had something caught in his teeth or cheek pouch. Since the vetty said everything in his mouth looks beautiful, I think a piece of stuck food is a highly likely possibility. He is eating/chewing normally now, and he's eating a normal amount without any sort of fussing or finicky-ness.
As for the blood the vet found in his urine...I still haven't been successful with "catching him in the act"....he is not pleased with my attempts at spying on his LB activities, and I don't want to create a new problem by bugging the you-know-what outta him. But, again, he seems completely fine in the pee department, from what I can observe. He displays no discomfort, he doesn't smell like pee, he's not running to the box frequently, etc. So, hopefully, as Ella and Michelle and Dyana suggested, hopefully the blood was a fluke caused by the needle stick. There has been a couple times I've ended up with a drop of blood in Trix's insulin needle after doing a shot, so anything is possible. But, I will continue to monitor Noah's LB activities as best I can and evaluate things on a moment-by-moment basis.
I have to get ready for work. Sending prayers out to all those in need...Ripley, Bubba, Rusty, Furball, and everyone else. And a special Happy Birthday shout out to J.D.
Have a great day, LL!
